“When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.’ So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” ~ Luke 2:15-20 (NIV) ~ Have I ever mentioned that Christmas is my favorite time of the year? OK, I know I may have said that about Easter — and I really like summer — and I guess I may have said that about the fall — with all of the leaves changing colors — but Christmas is, well, just special. And right now, it is breaking out all over — even in our covid-colored environment. I know that everything about how we celebrate Christmas will not be the same this year — but the purpose of the celebrations will remain the same. Choirs will be absent — but praise can and will abound. Crowds of people will be sparse — but our spirits can and will soar with joy. continued

THIS WEEK: DECEMBER 6 THROUGH DECEMBER 12
Know who else loved Christmas? The shepherds in Bethlehem did! They went immediately to find the baby Jesus when told of His birth by the Angel Choir — and then they told the Christ Story — I believe to anyone who would listen. Obviously, most didn’t pay attention, but they told the story anyway. Seems when you really love the Christ of the Christ Story, you cannot help but share it with others.
In-Person Worship as well as Live Streaming on our webpage, YouTube, & Facebook: Sunday, December 6th @ 10:30 AM
We know the Christ Story, and even more, we love the Christ of the story.
Zoom Meetings this week: Tuesday, December 8th @ 6:30
Christmas is not gone away. Let’s continue to tell the news to anyone and everyone we can. We still have three Sundays leading up to Christmas, and then our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, to invite people to hear and celebrate with us. Let’s continue to be like the shepherds — “spreading the word” concerning what we have been told and what we have experienced in our lives. I know, many will not yet listen — but there are those who will! Blessings on you as we begin to celebrate the birth of our Christ this week.

‘Tis the season … for Christmas Cards! In this unusual year, we have had to adjust to many changes. Another change is now here — Christmas Cards. In keeping with the safety protocols in place, we will not be having our Christmas Card Box out this year. You can either hand your cards to people individually, mail them out, or better yet, send a virtual card this year.
Let’s keep each other safe!
