with Pastor Terrell

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” ~ Colossians 3:16 (NIV) ~ Worship Leader and Christian Song Writer, Graham Kendrick (Shine, Jesus, Shine), makes the following statement about worship: “Worship is first and foremost for His benefit, not ours, though it is marvelous to discover that in giving Him pleasure, we ourselves enter into what can become our richest and most wholesome experience in life.” ~ Graham Kendrick ~ Make no mistake about it — worship is one of the most sacred acts we ever offer to God. He is glorified and honored — our lives are charged up and changed by gratitude — and in a corporate sense — our church fellowship is strengthened. I am excited to announce that our worship together is going to be blessed through the remainder of 2020 and moving into next year as we face the many challenges of life as it is today.

Beginning this Sunday, November 15th, Worship Pastor, Bart Young, will be joining us to lead our worship. Pastor Bart has a long, extensive background in church leadership and life with a primary emphasis in worship. He and his wife Sharon will truly be remarkable additions to our church staff and family. An Arizona native, most of Pastor Bart’s ministry has been in Southern Baptist Churches in California. Most recently, he has led worship and choirs in the Verde Valley. You are going to enjoy getting to know him, both as a worship leader and also as a godly man. Having spent last evening in rehearsal with him, our Praise Team left with a sense of enthusiasm and expectation. continued

I hope that you will be with us this Sunday morning in worship so that you can meet Pastor Bart and Sharon — and expect to be blessed as we are led before God the Father in worship and praise. Blessings on your week as you prepare your heart for worship on Sunday. You do that by taking time to worship each day. Then, engage with us in corporate worship this Sunday. Pastor Terrell P.S. Just a note to remind you we will worship at the Lord’s Table in a time of Communion next Sunday morning, November 22nd, so you may want to get the elements ready next week if you are worshipping with us online.
