What We Do Who We Are
The First Tee of Greater Austin is a youth development organization focused on providing young people with educational programs to build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Conveniently located at the Harvey Penick Golf Campus close to downtown Austin, TX, the First Tee of Greater Austin has touched approximately 10,000 area youth since 1999. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the First Tee of Greater Austin depends on the generous financial support from the Austin community to continue programs, fund scholarships for youth in need, and bring programs to more Austin-area schools through the National School Program.
The First Tee is not just a golf program. It is a youth development program designed for children to learn nine core values, life skills and healthy habits through the game of golf. Our programs are offered both on campus (Harvey Penick Golf Campus), as well as in area-schools through the National School Program, and provide a safe and positive place for youth to grow and learn.
