Horace Silver Led by Camille Thurman and the Darrell Green Trio | August 15

Camille Thurman honors and celebrates the enduring legacy of exalted pianist Horace Silver by offering an original take on his music and exploring his soulful 1970s jazz-funk through exciting new arrangements.

Today’s new “babe of bebop” Veronica Swift returns to the Spiegeltent in an homage to the songbook of her idol and vocal inspiration, Anita O’Day, “a singer’s singer” (NPR).

Bard’s Fisher Center is located at 60 Manor Avenue, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY 12504. Our venue is accessible by car and train. Detailed directions and parking information will be mailed with your tickets and are also available online at fishercenter.bard.edu/visit. Programs, dates, and times are subject to change without notice. Spiegeltent events and After Hours performances may contain nudity, and are for mature audiences only. Nona Hendryx and Mamafunk Friday, July 19 at 8:30 pm

Revolutionary new-wave goddess Nona Hendryx (“Lady Marmalade”) returns with her band Mamafunk to rock out with heaping helpings of summer-in-the-city rhythms and cool sounds.

Cage/Cunningham Music and Dance Circus Sunday, August 11 from 6–9:30 pm Free, no reservations required. Presented by the John Cage Trust and the Merce Cunningham Trust.

John Cameron Mitchell takes the stage for an intimate, eye-opening, and devilishly funny journey through his personal experiences living with Hedwig. So “put on some make-up and turn up the eight track” for a night of postpunk, neo-glam rock.

In commemoration of the 100th birthday of renowned American choreographer Merce Cunningham, musicians and dancers come together for a celebratory performance of John Cage’s historically gloriously anarchic work, Musicircus—with a twist. Featuring more than 40 musicians and dancers, this is a family-friendly event.

Bardians near and far come together for a merry celebration of music led by four alumni/ae musicians making their stake in the music scene. Featuring faculty and alumni/ae special guests, this rocking evening is a bash for all things Bard.

Justin Vivian Bond: Criminal Intent Friday, August 2 at 8:30 pm | Tickets start at $45 The “immortal angel of cabaret” (Time Out New York) returns home to the Spiegeltent with sharp-tongued observations from the underground, and the gorgeous virtuosity of art song. Mx. Viv invites you to discover that crime always pays.
