The Atlanta VA Medical Center provides essential care for veterans from Georgia and the surrounding states, including specialized heart and kidney support, polytrauma and TBI treatments, and hospice care. The 20-suite Fisher House will provide a “home away from home” for up to 7,300 nights and offer families savings of over $1.1 million in lodging and transportation annually. Like all Fisher Houses, the home will be well-appointed to provide families with a safe, comfortable place to rest while they support their veteran or service member receiving medical care.
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital.
Donors who contribute $25,000 or more to the construction of a Fisher House will receive the following benefits:
• Invitations to house celebration events
• Recognition in Fisher House Foundation’s annual report
• Eligible for social media recognition upon approval
Donors who contribute $100,000 or more will be recognized as follows, in addition to benefits listed above:
• Permanent listing on bronze recognition plaque displayed at the entrance of the newly constructed Fisher House
• Special recognition with the prestigious Patriot Award at the house celebration
• Representation and recognition at house celebration events

THE FISHER HOUSE PROGRAM PROVIDES a home away from home for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes provide temporary, free lodging so families can be close to their loved ones during a medical crisis. Fisher Houses create an instant community for their residents, while also providing each family with a safe and inviting refuge after a long day to rest and recharge.
