Room or Restaurant Buyout Policy For a rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony or reception, you have the option to enjoy the exclusive use of one of our dining spaces, or the entire restaurant. Buyout fees will vary according to season, day of the week and scope of the event.

Seats up to 70 guests or 100 for a cocktail reception Adjoining Bay Patio can be booked exclusively and seats an additional 44 guests or an additional 80 guests for a cocktail reception. (See page 6)
Heron Room Seats up to 45 guests or 60 guests for a cocktail reception Adjoining Tennis patio can be booked exclusively and seats an additional 32 guests or 50 guests for cocktail reception.
The Garden Room Seats up to 54 guests or 50 standing This dining space can be used when renting out the whole restaurant for a private event. The Garden Room features 6 booth seats and a beautiful view of the tennis courts and surrounding park.
The Wine Cellar Seats up to 12 guests or 20 standing This exclusive space is ideal for intimate bridal showers, celebratory Afternoon Tea or as a private powder room on your special day!
Tennis Patio Seats up to 32 guests or 50 for a standing cocktail reception
Bay Patio Seats up to 44 guests or 80 for a standing cocktail reception
Park Ceremonies Nestled amongst the tall trees of Stanley Park, the Fish House is an exceptional venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions, providing a breathtaking setting for your special day. Only steps away from second beach, our front lawn has the natural backdrop of stately trees, the sparkling waters of English Bay and our picturesque heritage house surrounded by blooming flowerbeds. Your options for a wedding in the park, from a simple chair arrangement and archway to a grand marquis tent with all the fixings, our Event Planners are happy to coordinate all the permits and rentals through our preferred vendors to make your wedding dreams a reality!
Close by, Ceperley Playground is situated in a quiet picnic area and features an old wooden bridge against the background of a tree-lined path providing the perfect backdrop for a first glance or photos.

GROUP BOOKING GUIDELINES & POLICIES DEPOSITS A deposit of up to 50% is required for large group bookings to confirm the space, 60 days prior to the event, where possible. See cancellation policies for reimbursement information. The deposit amount will be deducted off the remaining balance of the bill which is owed on the day of the function. ATTENDING GUESTS CONFIRMATION Confirmation of guests attending is required 3 business days before the event. The confirmed number of guests provided is the minimum for which the guest will be charged even if fewer guests attend. For staff and planning purposes, we do prefer final numbers one week before the event, where possible. CANCELLATION POLICY If cancelled within 14 days the deposit is non-refundable. 50% of the deposit will be refunded if cancelled within 14-30 days prior to the event. 100% of the deposit will be refunded if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event. BAR SERVICE City bylaws state that alcohol can be served until 1 am at our establishment. Alcohol must be supplied by The Fish House. We would be pleased to supply your event with special beverages not featured on our regular menu, however, ample notice is required and certain restrictions apply. Our Event Planner will help you to choose the most suitable bar service for your event. Options include hosted bar, cash bar or partially hosted bar. ADDITIONAL CHARGES As of April 1st 2013 food items will be subject to 5% tax and alcoholic beverages are subject to 15% tax. All parties of 6 or more are subject to a 18% gratuity charge.
**The Fish House in Stanley Park shall not be held responsible or liable for any losses or liability due to acts of God, extreme weather conditions, extensive periods of power loss, fire, flood, explosion, war, civil disorder or other public disorder, health pandemic, curtailment of transportation facilities or services necessary in order to hold the event; work stoppage or other restraint of labour. In these conditions The Fish House or The Vancouver Parks Board might require to close the facilities or access to Stanley Park, forcing The Fish House to cancel all reservations. In the event that this were to occur The Fish House would willingly assist in finding a new venue for your event but cannot be liable for any additional expenses that you would incur for the relocation. If The Fish House is held responsible for your group cancellation we will fully refund your deposit regardless of our implemented cancellation policy.
MENU SELECTION We offer creative group menus for groups of 8 or more. We are able to accommodate modifications to specially customize your menus upon request. Please notify our Event Planner about any dietary concerns and food allergies of any guests attending your event so we can accommodate to the best of our ability. All modifications will be subject to price changes. Menu selection is required at least 21 days prior to event, where possible. We offer the option of smaller portioned children’s meals for children under the age of 12. Ask to see our kids menu or find it listed online at www.fishhousestanleypark.com. CAKE CUTTING FEE Wedding cake deliveries are accepted the day of the event. If you would like The Fish House to bake the cake for your party, please contact our Event Planner to see our cake price list. For any cakes brought in there is a $1.95 Cake Cutting/Plating fee per person. DÉCOR The Fish House provides our standard table decor, which includes white table linen, silverware and candlelight. We welcome you to provide your own decor and The Fish House staff will be pleased to set it up for you. An event set up fee may be applied according to scale and complexity of the event. Please speak to the Event Planner regarding your event needs. Cakes and floral arrangements may be delivered on the day of the event. Refrigeration is available if needed, please arrange this with the Event Planner. The Fish House encourages natural, biodegradable decor. Our minimal restrictions to decor include no confetti and no alterations to the art displayed on the walls. Should you wish The Fish House to arrange your rentals, there is a 10% administration fee on the pre-tax price of the rentals. Daytime bookings must vacate their booked space by 4.30pm. A room charge will be applied according to lost levels of business for every 15 minutes the party goes over the booked time. CEREMONIES Ceremonies are possible on the lawn directly adjacent to our restaurant for a $260 Parks Board Fee with booked receptions at The Fish House. The lawn must be booked in advance. Any lawn chairs, tenting or cording are to be arranged by the client. Should you wish The Fish House to book any rentals for your ceremony setup, there is a 10% administration fee on the pre-tax price of the rentals. Staff are provided for chair setup, if we have booked the rentals for you. A ceremony set up fee may be applied should you require staff to set up cording or any extra decorations. Please note: Should you wish to have alcoholic beverages served outside, cording must be rented. If you wish to have a small bar set up outside, the rental of tenting and cording is required. An additional liquor permit is required to serve alcohol outside, we can help with this, if need.
