The Maori seaperch (Lutjanus rivulatus) is one very cool looking fish. This specimen absolutely inhaled a soft plastic the author was jigging over a Top End reef system.

This 10kg thumper had two other barbed hooks stuck in its tough, rubbery lips. The only way out with the hooks was to cut the shanks. 38
