Royal Park Picnics From The Athenaeum Hotel

The luxury al fresco experience in London this Summer

When the weather is warmer, there’s nothing better than spending time in our great British parks to enjoy a Picnic.

The five-star Athenaeum Hotel & Residences, in the heart of Mayfair, is offering the ultimate Summer al fresco experience, ‘Royal Park Picnics’. Situated directly opposite Royal Green Park and just a short walk away from Hyde Park, the Athenaeum is perfectly located for visitors looking to explore London’s gorgeous and most popular green spaces.

The hotel’s Royal Park Picnic offering provides a scrumptious picnic experience that is perfect for just about anybody – whether it be families, friends, couples, or solos. Grab a picnic basket, find a serene spot, and bask in the sun while enjoying the provided nibbles (and bubbles, if you wish!). Of course, if you need help carrying the basket or finding the perfect setting in the park, the hotel will be happy to assist you.

Picnic-goers can choose from a Lunch Picnic or an Afternoon Tea Picnic – both of which can be elevated with ‘tipsy upgrades’ such as cider or Champagne. If opting for the Lunch Picnic, guests will enjoy a selection of sweet and savoury snacks including macaroons and strawberries as well as smoked mackerel rillettes and a nicoise salad. For those with a sweet tooth, the Afternoon Tea Picnic includes delicious treats such as cakes, pastries, and desserts – alongside classic finger sandwiches, of course.

Simply pre-order, collect your basket and blanket at the hotel, and find a sunny spot just across the road in Green Park for an al fresco treat.

The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences’ Lunch and Afternoon Tea Picnics are available to pre-order at £45 per person, including a basket, until September. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice and a £25 deposit for the picnic basket and plates is required. For more information, please visit athenaeumhotel.com/restaurant-bar/picnics
