Rothamsted Manor
Steeped in history, set in acres of manicured gardens, and nestled in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, Rothamsted Manor sits on the historic Rothamsted Estate, home to some of the world’s oldest and most important agricultural research experiments.
Once the home of Sir John Bennet Lawes, one of the founders of Rothamsted Research, the research facility was born in Rothamsted Manor, and is now a beautiful events venue.
The Grade I Listed Manor House offers three rooms for hire: the Great Drawing Room, the Library, and the Lounge, for groups from 30 to 100 guests, with break out areas available. All rooms offer extensive natural light, sweeping country views and historically elegant style, perfect for a wide range of events from weddings, birthday celebrations and private dinners. The Manor has recently opened to the corporate market, hosting team building days and business functions, offering corporate Day Delegate Rates and private event packages, enjoying complimentary Wi-Fi, and access to the stunning grounds with every room booking. Our experienced event co-ordinator will be your assigned point of contact throughout the planning process and on the day of your event.
Proud of our sustainable credentials, all menus are focused on sustainable, local, and seasonal produce. With the flexibility of our fantastic in-house catering team, a variety of options are available, including a standing buffet, sit-down banquet, barbecue, and canapé reception.
All our profits go to support the world leading research our Rothamsted scientific colleagues are tackling - the grand global challenges of food security and the impact climate change is having on our food supplies. So rest assured, your event means a lot to us and we will do our utmost to ensure you have a perfect event.
