Tots Tales

Friday 26 May, 10.30am – 11.30am and 1.15pm – 2.15pm

Every month, we run fun, hour long sessions for our youngest museum visitors and their grown-ups at both of our museums. Tots Tales takes place on the last Friday of the month. Join us as we read a story together before playing with toys and having a go at a range of craft activities relating to the book, followed by a treasure hunt. Enjoy the following stories ‘The Lion Inside’ (April) and ‘Sam Plants a Sunflower’ (May). Suitable for children ages 2-4, accompanied by an adult. Only the participating children require a ticket. Please book in advance on our website.

Built on the site of one of the largest Roman cities in Britain, Verulamium Museum is filled with ancient treasures and some of the finest mosaics outside of the Mediterranean. Bring the whole family and explore the wonders of Roman life! Immerse yourself in recreated Roman rooms and admire the craftsmanship of the intricate large-scale mosaics on display.

View recent discoveries including the Sandridge Hoard, a collection of 159 Roman gold coins. In addition to hands-on discovery areas for younger visitors, the museum provides a selection of activity sheets for children and dressing up clothes.
