Shere Open Gardens

Sunday 25th June. One of Surrey’s most unspoilt villages opens its garden gates for charity

On Sunday 25th June, Shere, one of the most picturesque villages in Surrey, nestling at the foot of the North Downs between Guildford and Dorking, will be opening its garden gates and inviting the public to view a selection of beautiful private gardens to help raise money for Cherry Trees Respite Care and local community services.

Whether you are a keen gardener or simply curious to see behind the lichen covered walls and manicured hedges, Shere Open Gardens gives a glimpse into quintessential England and offers an enjoyable afternoon wandering around gardens in full bloom.

This year there will be an abundance of gardens and displays to see, from sheltered courtyards full of spectacular flowering pots and containers or classic colourful cottage gardens festooned with roses, hydrangeas and lupins in the heart of the village, plus a few larger elegantly landscaped gardens with sculptured planting and verdant lawns, just beyond.
