SPRING AT PAINSHILL

With hosts of golden daffodils, goslings around the lake and a scattering of snowdrops, the landscape at Painshill comes to life in spring. It is a wonderful time to visit to soak up the stronger sun and take in the beautiful views.

Why not treat your mother this Mothering Sunday? Painshill are serving a scrumptious afternoon tea that includes entry in the landscape. Indulge in scones, sandwiches and sweet treats before heading out to discover the incredible charm of the 18th century garden. Toast your mum with a glass of Painshill’s very own sparkling wine and delight her with a wonderful day out.

Over Easter Painshill have an egg-straordinary trail for families. Children can discover a number of dragon statues while walking an easy route around the lake. Match all the dragons to huge eggs and see if you can spot the dragon egg that’s missing. It’s magical, outdoor fun for families of all ages. You can also make your Easter visit even more special with their Easter Afternoon Tea. Enjoy dragon-themed treats and chocolate before, or after, heading out around the trail.

Painshill’s education team are busy all year around with exciting ways for children to enjoy the landscape. The Painshill Forest School runs sessions every week for parents and their toddlers. Pre-school children, and an accompanying adult, can enjoy sensory play, animal spotting and storytelling, as they learn about their environment in a way that will install a love of nature forever. Some Easter special sessions are available to book on their website now, running Wednesday, April 5 and Wednesday April, 12.

In school holidays, older children (between 8 -12 years) can join Painshill for Wild Day Camps. These jam-packed days full of adventure include activities like bush craft, den building, campfire cooking and wildlife spotting. The Easter holiday camps are running on days between Monday, April 3 and Friday April, 14 and there are still some places left.
