The event will bring together talented Surreybased artisans and traditional craftsfolk who will share their skills, knowledge and passion to inspire visitors. Indulge in delicious food and drink from Surrey Hills’ producers and browse intriguing stalls from local creative makers. In addition, explore the museum’s historic buildings and learn about traditional countryside living through the centuries.
Organised by Surrey Hills Enterprises, the community interest company that works to promote and support the Surrey Hills and the businesses that call the region home – many of which have been awarded the Surrey Hills Trademark, a mark of local quality, sustainability and provenance – in partnership with the Rural Life Living Museum, the Surrey Hills Spring Festival is the first of its kind and is a fun-filled event not to miss.
“We are thrilled to be launching the Surrey Hills Spring Festival for the first time,” said Wendy Varcoe, Executive Director of Surrey Hills Enterprises. “This is an exciting opportunity to showcase the best of Surrey Hills Trademark food, drink, art and crafts.”
Ed Fagan, General Manager for the Old Kiln Museum Trust, added, “This event gives us an opportunity to share the history, culture and expertise of the museum to a wider audience and promote it as a great venue for family events. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors and showing them all that the Rural Life Living Museum has to offer.”
