BBC GARDENERS’ WORLD SPRING FAIR

Marking the start of the 2023 gardening season with its brighter days, bulbs, buds and blossom is the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair at Beaulieu. The Spring Fair will take place from 28 - 30 April with a focus on seasonal plants, fresh ideas and preparations for the gardening year ahead.

Highlights include the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage where special guests including Frances Tophill and Adam Frost will join the Magazine editors to share essential, practical and topical advice for ‘what to do now’ in the garden in informal, drop-in talks.
Headline partner, Hillier, will present a stunning walk-through ‘secret garden’ feature along with one-to-one advice and large retail area. The shopping doesn’t stop there as there’ll also be nurseries and specialists selling quality plants, as well as exhibitors selling gardening tools, kit and accessories.
New for 2023, horticultural students from Kingston Maurward
College, Merrist Wood College and Cannington Campus (Bridgwater and Taunton College) will create three present-day odes to a Victorian garden, mentored by award winning garden designer Cherry Carmen, who’s accolades include a Gold Award at BBC Gardeners’ World Live. The design and planting inspiration continues in the Showcase Gardens, and the Beautiful Borders with a ‘My Garden Escape’ theme for 2023.
Visitors to the Spring Fair can book a range of added extras, including Plant Expert Tours of Beaulieu’s Victorian walled gardens, Floral Crown workshops with the Hampshire NAFAS group and Oyster Mushroom Growing workshops with the expert Caley Brothers. There’ll also be delicious food and drink at the BBC Good Food Market, live entertainment at the Bandstand and a variety of independent street food sellers.
Visitors to the Spring Fair can enjoy a full day out with access to Beaulieu’s attractions, including Palace House, the National Motor Museum and the Monorail.
