Specialist Dermatology Services at The clinic@78

We understand that skin health can be deeply personal, and living with a skin condition can significantly impact your overall wellbeing and life.

Skin conditions are common. The NHS estimates that around 24 percent of people in England and Wales visit their doctor with a skin problem each year.

If you have a skin problem, it is important to get it checked out. For example, if you’re over 35 any new moles should be examined. Moles are usually harmless, but in rare cases can develop into melanoma (a type of skin cancer).

Our skin is our body’s biggest organ. It plays an important role in protecting us. Our skin provides an airtight, waterproof barrier between the outside world and our body’s other organs and systems.

Your skin has many other functions too. It helps you regulate your body temperature, defends your immune system, aids vitamin production and supports your sense of touch.

Whatever your skin health concerns, The clinic @78’s dermatology team can thoroughly assess your symptoms. We offer rapid appointments to see our highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist, Dr James Hickey, who can help with a broad range of skin conditions, including skin cancer & moles, eczema, psoriasis & acne.

During your detailed consultation,

Our extended services include 20, 30 or 40 minute GP appointments, contraception such as coils and implants, and minor procedures like joint injections, toenail surgery and skin lesion removal.
