We’ll be fishing off the kayaks using handlines for delicious fresh fish such as black bream, seabass and mackerel. We will pause along the way to identify and collect edible plants and seaweeds to go with any catch we may be lucky enough to hook!

Caroline Nairn is a Weymouth-based artist whose inspiration comes from the Dorset countryside and West Country coastline. Her love of nature, walking and sketching outdoors has led her to create this exhibition. Caroline usually works in acrylics, pastels or mixed media, and her focus in this show is on depicting local scenes, especially trees, water and rock structures, as the shapes and patterns in these natural forms provide her with fascinating projects. FOCUS ON: EYELID SURGERY

Crows feet, excess skin, wrinkles and puffiness around the eyes are all signs of ageing. The delicate skin around the eyes is thin and with age loses elasticity as the supportive structures weaken. Age, stress, lack of sleep, poor diet, dehydration and sun exposure can all contribute to the appearance of the eye area.

Blepharoplasty (upper and/or lower eyelid surgery) aims to create a more alert and refreshed appearance, whilst correcting any asymmetry. This is done through tightening the supportive structures and removing loose skin or bulging fat around the eyes.

Who is it for?

Most commonly surgery is appropriate for people over the age of 40. Before this, injections may play a role in prevention and treatment. Genetics can play a part in drooping eyelids and eye bags, in which case, patients may seek surgical intervention earlier.

Why get surgery?

Surgery provides a longer term solution. Often patients have trialled many different creams and other treatments and are ready for something that will fix the issue fully.

What are the types of surgery?

Upper eyelid surgery removes any folds and/or fat that has collected in the upper eyelid. The role of the eyebrow is important to take into consideration with upper eyelid surgery as it can fall with age and cause the eyelid to fold. Lower eyelid surgery improves the folds of lower eyelid skin and/or the fat that is pushing into the lower eyelid, causing a bulge. These types of surgery can be combined if necessary.

THE FERTILITY CENTRE

Formerly the Assisted Conception Unit, The Fertility Centre is a longstanding centre of excellence for fertility treatment and care at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. In 2005, this ideology was imbued upon Simon Chaplin as he took the helm from his father and prepared to pioneer a new era of expansion whilst maintaining the core values that his father had instilled in him and the entire company - dedication to the highest level of service.

With the explosion of online retail, it was clear that clients’ shopping journeys were beginning in their homes rather than Chaplins’. It was time to offer a website as unique, inspiring, and insightful as their in-store experience would be. Chaplins took its interior specialists’ advice to an online journal to offer trends and tips, filled an online catalogue with the best design has to offer, and extended customer care through the screen. Simon’s vision of creating an omnichannel business had been realised, with every touchpoint connecting Chaplins’ clients with an expert.

Under One Roof

The flagship Chaplins store becomes a one-stop-shop housing the biggest names in European design, a dedicated trade department, and in-house interior planning services. The 25,000 sq ft emporium has allowed Chaplins’ space to continue growing and thriving at a time when the physical presence of luxury retailers is becoming

increasingly scarce. It remains, proudly, one of the few spaces of its size, hosting a compendium of design.

For Chaplins, home is at the heart of all they do, and their Hatch End headquarters is home not only to designer showpieces but to a family. It isn’t solely the Chaplins family line that has generated generations of interior specialists though, Simon is just one of the many second-generation Chaplins team members merged under one roof.

Rope

Rope furniture is a relatively new material for garden furniture. Bringing a natural infusion to outdoor spaces, this versatile material will suit a range of schemes. Benefitting from a powder-coated aluminium or steel frame, our rope furniture ensures absolute rustresistance and year-round protection. Designed with contemporary elegance in mind, our exclusive Cannes collection combines Taupe UV resistant rope with a tight handwoven design. Ensuring sumptuous comfort, the taupe cushions pair perfectly with on-trend hues of orange, coral and wicker accents for long, lazy afternoons basking in the sunshine.

Rattan

More durable than its natural counterpart, synthetic rattan is the most popular material for garden furniture. UV-resistant and woven around rustproof powder-coated aluminium frames, our rattan furniture can be left out in the sun without worrying about damage. Incredibly easy to clean, simply wipe down with a cloth and warm soapy water to keep your rattan pieces looking their best. We always recommend opting for a full round rattan weave over half round for unmatched comfort and premium style. The tightness of a furniture’s rattan weave can also indicate its quality, with a loose, unstable weave suggesting that the product will not last.

Outdoor Fabrics

High-quality outdoor fabrics can be expensive, as they need to be rugged enough to withstand the elements whilst maintain their appearance. The range is displayed on our first floor and has brought that area to life. Jay explained in an interview that all the pieces are named after his childhood memories, areas where he grew up or where he had fun. The Rigley Collection being his favourite. Rigley Road reminds him of Saturdays as a child with his mum & brother. The Broadway Chair he classes as the Daddy of all the chairs. It’s well worth a try!
