Heritage Open Days returns to Suffolk

8-17 September
eritage Open Days returns to Suffolk from 8-17 September with a packed programme of free events and experiences. Brought to you by the National Trust, supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery and run by a host of local organisations and volunteers, HODs brings people together to celebrate their heritage, community, and history. Many events will adopt this year’s theme, Creativity Unwrapped, sharing England’s colourful history of creativity. From radars and ruins to behind-the-scenes tours, here are five Heritage Open Days highlights from across Suffolk:
Creative Conflict Exhibition at Brook Farm Camp in Hawstead
The Creative Conflict Exhibition features artefacts from the Great War Huts collection. This is a rare opportunity to see creative pieces by soldiers, nurses, and prisoners of war in a range of mediums. Prebooking is required for this HODs exclusive event.
