PLANT & GARDEN FAIR ABBOTSBURY SUBTROPICAL GARDENS

A large Plant Fair set on the spacious West Lawn of Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, surrounded by colourful and exotic plants. Organised by Plant Heritage Dorset. 30 Plant Nursery stalls offering a huge choice, manned by specialist growers, plus a number of interesting craft stalls. Plants available include shrubs, alpines, carnivorous, exotics, tropical, succulents, hardy perennials & grasses, climbers, small trees, cottage garden plants, shade-lovers etc.

A fantastic opportunity to meet some of Brownsea’s more elusive wildlife. Enjoy a boat ride to the island and a tasty homecooked meal before heading out with one of our knowledgeable guides on a wildlife safari across the island. Listen out for the churring of the nightjars as they swoon and swoop across the heath and snuggle up in a hide to watch the spectacle of the nesting birds on the lagoon.
