Alush yard on a beautiful summer afternoon. For the Baby Dior Summer 2023 line, Cordelia de Castellane pays homage to Christian Dior’s passion for nature in all its forms - a series of pieces that are suffused with tenderness, celebrating the beauty of a delicate garden.

A joyful, bucolic fable, told through two worlds – Sweet Garden and Villa Rhumbs – exalts the enchanting art de vivre of the House’s collections for children. With its delicate, poetic palette – from powder pink to sky blue, milk white and Dior Gray – the first theme revisits the House’s emblematic references, such as cannage, which is revealed in a dazzling star-spangled version – a subtle evocation of the founding couturier’s lucky charm – on dresses and flounced skirts. A new floral print in two pastel variations embellishes casual pieces, while the “Dior” signature, reinterpreted in a graffiti-like style, is sketched on t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts.

Inspired by the rose garden facing the sea in Granville, where Christian Dior spent his childhood – and where the founding couturier cultivated his passion for gardening - the second story features an original new design, punctuated with flowers, birds and enchanting plant motifs, illuminated with sunny nuances, adorning outdoor clothing, dresses, blouses and swimsuits for little girls and babies.

For a contemporary, casual look, the boys’ wardrobe is dressed in bold stripes and the Dior Oblique print, which is featured as an all-over on jackets and shorts. As a final surprise, t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts for children and toddlers are adorned with playful bouclette embroidery, reinterpreting the letters “DIOR” in eye-catching colours. Available in a palette of cheerful shades, such as yellow or coral pink, these creations are a couture ode to the splendours of nature, along with the infinite delights of childhood.
