Cyprus gets financial bailout As we go to press, after long ‘midnightoil’ discussions over the last two weeks, Cyprus will receive the European bailout of €10 billion after all. To achieve a settlement, the country’s Government needed to make some hard decisions about the whole Cyprus banking system. The country had two major banks – Bank of Cyprus and Marfin Laiki/Popular Bank both of which were long overdue for reform during the term of office of the previous Government, which departed power less than a month before the crisis. To change Governmental control at such a vulnerable time was always going to be a recipe for some sort of disaster. This ‘disaster’ has been splashed all over the media, but the media themselves are responsible for gross misinformation and alarmist reporting. That’s not to say everything has been without worry this month. Although we at Fitzgerald Marketing have had the record listing month that we predicted in our last issue, other businesses have been experiencing hard times in the past 10 days with no access to their banking system. Although the island’s other banks are untouched, it’s been recorded by the CIFSA (Cyprus International Financial Services Association) that the Popular/Laiki Bank will be wound up and that the Bank of Cyprus will be substantially reorganized. Basically the European Union lost its patience with the Cyprus Government and its two, rather badly run, big banks. When the government changed a month ago, it was the ideal time to obtain a final resolution to problems that have been ignored for many years. Cyprus has become the fifth country after Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain to turn to the EuroZone for financial help in the wake of the region's debt crisis. Cyprus was forced to seek emergency aid from the Troika: the European Commission (EC), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the European Central Bank (ECB). Cyprus has been been massively overexposed to the Greek debt of 2012.
But not all of this is gloom and doom; whilst every business and many families are facing a radical financial rethink and are working out ways to ride out the current financial storm, there will undoubtedly be a new wave of business opportunities, many of which will be propertybased. Международная Школа Пафоса (International School of Paphos) На Кипр решают переехать не только люди пенсионного возраста, но и очень много молодых семей. И здесь встает вопрос о школах. Упор делается на основных навыках владения устной речью, счетом и письмом. Институт предлагает захватывающие возможности студентам очного отделения, а также заочникам, для обучения во второй половине дня. Правила приема в школу зависят от возраста ученика. Дети дошкольного возраста допускаются на основании собеседования с родителями (при условии наличия свободных мест). Дети, поступающие на подготовительный год, а также 1й и 2й классы в неофициальном порядке. В случае, если ребенок посещал другую школу, потребуются отчеты и образцы работ, которые будут иметь существенное значение при отборе и приеме в школу. Желающие поступить в школу в 3 – 9 годах обучения сдают экзамен по Английскому языку и математике. Греки, также, сдают экзамен по греческому языку. Летнее расписание рейсов «Трансаэро» между Россией и Кипром
С 15 марта на Кипре открылся сезон чартерных рейсов. Большую часть заказов крупных российских агенств выполняет авиакомпания «Трансаэро». На сегодняшний день туризм остался единственным надежным источником дохода для республики Кипр. Поэтому роль «Трансаэро» в стабилизации кипрской экономики трудно переоценить. В прошлом году было более 25ти рейсов в неделю в Пафос и примерно столько же в Ларнаку. В этом году рейсов будет примерно на 30% больше: в таблице приведены рейсы и их статус на ближайшее время. На чартерные рейсы билет будет продаваться только с туристическим пакетом и купить его можно будет только там, откуда полет начинается. В этом году у некоторых рейсов статус регулярный, а значит, билет можно будет приобрести на Кипре. Этим летом с Кипра можно будет улететь в Новосибирск, Казань, Уфу, Самару, Екатеринбург, Ростов на –Дону, Архангельск. Введение такого количества рейсов связано с увеличением спроса и заявок от туроператоров. Также увеличивается число людей, прилетающих на остров на выходные, и, благодаря большому выбору рейсов, они могут позволить себе прилететь в пятницу и улететь в понедельник.
