attributes as possible and ensuring the ‘feel’ attributes are actively enhanced and displayed.
Quality is King When venturing into the property market, for most people, foremost in their mind is the quality of the property they will get for their money. This ‘quality’ encompasses many aspects – location, outlook, fittings, décor, neighbours, amenities, the standard of finish and calibre of construction to name a few. However, the decision to buy does not rest there, a host of intangible qualities impact on the decision. This is the ‘feel’ of the property which is very important to every buyer and particularly the ‘homemaker’, whoever that might be in the family. On the whole, it is often women who lead the homemaker league and they are very attuned to the ‘feel’ the property carries. The overall ambience is of utmost importance as is the answer to the question, ‘Will I be happy here?’ Intangible and very personal though these might be, and very different to every client, at Fitzgerald Estates we ensure that each property benefits from highlighting as many ‘quality’
At Fitzgerald Estates the property selection starts early to ensure that properties brought to market are more than bricks and mortar, facts and figures, but also feature the ‘enjoyment’ factor and desirable lifestyle qualities -important in buying decisions. Focusing on the all important ‘feel good’ factor we excel in our photography which may require multiple visits to a property to capture the particular image or mood. The descriptive narrative offers a ‘glimpse’ of the lifestyle you can expect there and the location map puts the buyers into the actual neighbourhood, all of which empowers the buyer. The actual buying process at Fitzgerald Estates is smooth and happy because almost all of the properties have their Title Deeds and the remainder are very close to having them issued.

A Grand Marina in Paphos? There were two main consortium's interested in taking over the Paphos Marina project - Leptos & Poseidon. Poseidon was the company that got the contract for the Marina but unfortunately for reasons unknown the authorities have failed to give the OK to start the project , resulting in it being delayed now for over a year. Poseidon have issued a statement in the local paper stating what is happening in the development of the Marina, and also to dispel the rumours that it is themselves causing the delays. Together with their lawyers they are considering suing legally for the delay caused. Poseidon are ready to start the Marina and believe now is right time to do so. Meanwhile Construction work on the Limassol Marina is already under way and progressing rapidly the marina project will be one of the largest in Cyprus and at an estimated cost of â‚Ź350 million, the marina will be able to accommodate all types of vessels from sailing yachts to mega yachts, ranging from 8 metres to 100 metres in length.

AFELIA (Pork with Coriander and wine) Continuing our series on popular Cypriot dishes this month we look at what has to be one of the most well known dishes in Cypriot Taverna's Ingredients ½ cup/100ml/3½ fl oz corn oil or olive oil 1.5kg – 2kg (3½ lbs or 4 lbs) pork cut into small pieces about 1inch square or according to taste. Traditionally this is made with belly of pork or fatty pork but if you are watching your weight then use leg of pork. (Fattier pork makes nicer Afelia.) 1½ cup/275ml/10 fl oz water 2 level dessertspoons coriander seeds, crushed. 1 level teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ level teaspoon ground cloves
Method Heat the oil in a large saucepan.
Add coriander seeds, cinnamon, cloves, pepper and some salt. Stir into meat. Turn the up the heat and pour in the remainder of the liquids.* Bring to simmering point, replace the lid and cook for a further 20 minutes or until tender and the liquid has reduced. Serve with sauté or roast potatoes or rice and a salad if you wish. *Optional You can cook this dish with potatoes added. You will need to fry the potatoes and then add them just before you bring to simmering point at * above. Small potatoes are nicer but if you don’t have any just cut your potatoes into chunks.

Paphos Odeon was uncovered by the Cypriot Department of Antiquities during 1973 and 1974 and today it is not only a tourist attraction, it is also used for musical and theatrical performances. The theatre in the Odeon has been partly restored after its excavation. It is a semicircle that contains 12 rows of seats. Each year in June the choir festival takes place and choirs from all over Cyprus and some overseas contenders come to this amazing setting to perform.
