Colombia
Color + Culture
Colombian food, Usually tends to be in large portions and the best food I have had from all the countries I visited
National colors of Colombia, Yellow Blue and Red. Types of nature that resides in Colombia such as the Andes and the Amazons.
Cities in Colombia can range from big and small, modern and old. The city shown here is Cartagena the coast of Colombia that has both modern and old architecture.
Colombia The yellow represents gold, the blue represents the two oceans, and the red represents blood. Colombia also has indigenous people like brazil, and other countries because we share the amazons.

Dancing is part of Colombian culture especially salsa, where Colombia hosts the world tournament of salsa. Soccer is the most popular sport in Colombia like most of south and central America however the Colombian team is known to be top caliber considered the top 5 of south America.
Colombia is a place of beauty and mystery, the culture that has lived on for centuries. Traditions are important in Colombia from way of living, to treating the environment as well the pride and blood of being a Colombian. The people are nice with full of spirits and energy, this energy is then transformed to hard work and efforts. There's many reasons why people from all over the world travel to this amazing country but there's very few reasons to leave which is why many stay or come back indefinitely.
Japan Japan has a lot of culture some being as old as 2000+ years, drinking has always been associated with Japan from the production of sake to now a days the popularity of beer.
Japan is a country of technological and architectural advancement compared to almost all countries. Its no wonder this is the country with the highest IQ ratings. Food is an important part of Japans culture, with that being said street food is very popular since in most cases the most traditional foods started of era’s ago selling on the street, Osaka especially being the most popular in terms of food.
Japan has some of the most beautiful nature, in my opinion its unmatched and that’s from comparing the multiple countries I visited. In japan the conservation of nature is also part of the culture, this fascinates me.
Japan Japan has always fascinated me ever since I was kid, I made a goal to visit japan when I was young and years later made it come true. One of the things that fascinated me the most about japan is the connection between architecture and nature, for centuries they’ve done this.

Japan has all the seasons, which is why its nature is wonderful. Nature in japan is a main entity in their culture, they believe nature has energy. Japan has a history of pride within themselves, since the Edo period where samurais existed, the focus and efforts of a Japanese is unique.
No words will do justice for Japan it’s a place I believe everyone at least one time in there life's must visit. I've always been in love with japan and has thought multiple times of living there, who knows maybe I will. The culture is beautiful, the people are the nicest and most polite I've encountered. The food is incredible and the architecture is unmatched, the nature of japan is beyond anything I've seen. I believe anyone can go to japan and everyday for the rest of there lives they would encounter a new experience.

M3 Color + Theory
This Color wheel is best in my opinion because of the extensive information it has, it shows all the relationships of color(Analogous, Complementary, Triadic, Split Complement). As well as grayscale and monochromatic. You also can learn the universal numbers that signifies the color.
•
This chapter was very interesting, I have always known the basics of colors, and in this major you realize the importance of them, but it hasn’t been until reading the chapter that I began to understand them. People usually just think that what they see is “what it is” but in this chapter you can see how a color-blind person might see the world or a person who is partly color-blind you also began to understand how certain colors come to fruition from combining other main colors.

Color + Perception • CHROMOTHERAPY Is the practice of using colored light and color in the environment to cure specific illness and in general to bring about beneficial health effect.
COLOR + SPACE
COLOR + CONTRAST
Color Trends
Color and the relation with space is an element that goes hand to hand with each other, color can effect the way we perceive space making it smaller or bigger, brighter or darker, these colors also affect the emotions that you would experience within the space. It’s a key component into our first impression of a space.
7 types of color contrast exist: • Simultaneous contrast. • light/dark contrast. • cool/warm contrast. • complementary contrast, • contrast of hue. • contrast of saturation or intensity. • and contrast of extension.
Color trends affect product development, purchasing habits, and the placement of products in the marketplace that are in fashion that would drive greater sales.

Color + Balance
Color + Balance Balance is the goal of achieving the equilibrium between two or more forces. It is a means to grasp harmony, peace, and connection that can be made between the observer and that which is observed.
Symmetry
Color Interaction
Location of Color
Formal balance which is the arrangement of elements on either side of an implied axis that are equally balanced and of the same shape and form; like a mirror image.
Involves the contrast of light and dark values; when one value is placed next to the other, the visual weight of the smaller color areas is intensified.
The shape of interior space is divided into specific surface planes: vertical surfaces (walls) and horizontal surfaces (wall, floors, and ceiling). Color acts as a carrier, focusing our attention on design features and elements that guide our observation.

Color + Emphasis
Saint Laurent Design District
CONTRAST OF HUE
• Contrast of hue is created by choosing colors that are opposite on the color wheel. In the Saint Laurent store the contrast is very noticeable because in fact there is no color except white and black which are complete opposites. Contrast of hue is shown with the use of black glass like shown on this staircase in contrast with the white marble walls and floor’s. and use of material such as the marble is perfect since there is strains of black and gray patterns on them.
CONTRAST OF VALUE
• Contrast of value is the difference in light and dark, it is expressed in black and white and everything in between. Here you can see how the lighting creates shadows that have a vertical or horizontal effect’s, the frame of the glass within the store which are used to host the product’s are all vertical and horizontal elements, even the frame of the lighting. Shadows are always in shades of gray, which goes well with the store since the only colors there are is black, white, and gray.
•
CONTRAST OF A DESIGN FEATURE
Every other space in the Saint Laurent store is orthogonal, the walls, glass, frames are all vertical or horizontal even the floor plan, however this space which is in the corner of the store is in contrast with the rest of the design. Its an open area created with divisions in a radial set of mirrors, the juxtaposition can be seen most clear on a floor plan.
CONTRAST OF TEXTURE
• Color and texture contrast can add emphasis. In this image we can see the difference of materiality which brings a different texture. The furniture is made of wood then painted black with a white cushion that gives it a soft appeal, the glass shelves are rigid and give it a hard appeal. The wall is concrete while the floor is made of marble both showing a contrast between wall and floor.
FOCAL POINT
• A focal point is a single design element that receives the greatest visual emphasis in a room. Here is the main elements of design within the Saint Laurent store, you can see the openness of the space with no walls blocking the vision the glass furniture is very translucent making the space larger. The seating area is clearly shown here with the same hue as the rest of the store.

Color + Hospitality
• The color palette used for this building is mostly of hues between yellow and gold with red touches, when you enter the building through the front you are welcomed with a large space that has a red carpet on the floor like a runway with golden columns and gold lamp posts, the interior lighting has yellow hues as well. • I actually visited this building and felt almost a sense of secrecy as if I just entered a hidden gem, from the outside the building looks like any typical Miami building but inside I felt as if I was in another country and that has to do with the large beautiful art pieces that I couldn't help myself take a picture of, the thick large golden columns make me feel I entered a palace especially the red carpets. • The feeling of a foreign ambiance is really there with the Latin words as the title of each art piece that is the size of an entire wall from floor to ceiling, if you drift away from the main hallway space and travel to the other hallways and spaces it feels as if you entered a chamber of luxury.
• As you can see here the color palatte is consistent throughout the interior of the building, the gold is still shown on the walls and chandeliers timid lighting reflects it color on the walls, the red carpet is shown all over in this area. • Luxury is definitely not understatement here the leopard couches, leather sofas, golden large chandeliers, the mirror walls, and to my surprise there Louis Vuitton designed locker rooms as well all are little details that represent this building.
• Even on the backside of the building where they have an open bar we an see the same color scheme and luxury, the golden translates to a cage where they exhibit the golden remains of an elephant, as I said before this place makes you feel as if you entered a palace

Color + Workplace
• The pandora office is an amazing interior space that really shows the definition of color scheme in this picture you can see that red is the main color scheme however throughout the whole building the offices has multiple color palettes, when it comes to music there is no boundaries as well with color, pandora really correlates both elements together, music and color go together like wine and cheese.
• As you can see here the color scheme switched to blue from red, there's these white circles on the glass of the office representing almost the patterns of sound vibrations. Within the interior of the building you will see this, all offices seem to be in a box with one wall representing the color and the rest a glass that everyone can see through representing a sense of overall cooperation in a open space that promotes interaction.
• Here you can see that the office in the distant is now yellow, again fortifying the reason that color and music go together how the sound of music isn’t something bland or basic like colors. Also the spaces as you can see are interactive like the seating areas and this staircase that is also a staircase.
• Here is a diagram that shows the different art pieces within the office space, its very cool abstract wall pieces that are all single wooden pieces shaped differently to represent the faces of iconic musicians, the concept of there design is music and this building perfectly represents it.
