Welcome to FIU! It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Panther family! The FIU Parent & Family Council takes great pride in our collaboration with the university staff to help families be informed and engaged with our FIU. We invite you to get to know your FIU Parent & Family Council, along with the many tools and resources available to help you make the most of your Panther experience. Garnering the philanthropic support of FIU parents and families is at the heart of the work our Council does and we hope we can count on you! We aim to help raise funds and awareness that help our students achieve their full potential, encourage excellence in teaching, support professional and personal development opportunities, as well as advancing preeminent research.

Support your FIU by giving of your time, talent and treasure. The Parent & Family Council is composed of FIU parents and family members just like YOU. Each year the Council invites 5 new families to join. Join the Council to make a direct impact on student life through philanthropic giving as well as supporting and leading a variety of fundraising activities. Council members engage with other parents to foster connections and build partnerships that support the University. Additionally, members assist with outreach to current and prospective families, and represent the parent perspective on the FIU experience.
