Tom’s Town Distillery Experience
Get ready for a fun night at the Club with Steve Revare and David Epstein, founders of Tom’s Town Distilling Company, as they lead us through a tasting of spirits paired with delicious appetizers!
Tom’s Town was named after the country’s most corrupt political boss, Tom Pendergast, who started as a saloon keeper and the founder of a wholesale liquor company. Under Pendergast, Kansas City ignored Prohibition and emerged as the “Paris of the Plains.” Money, jazz and spirits flowed in the open. When asked how he justified ignoring Prohibition, Pendergast quipped, “The people are thirsty.”
Today the people are still thirsty. Tom’s Town satisfies that thirst by producing premium craft spirits. You can taste the high standards and attention to detail in every sip of the gin, vodka and bourbon they make. Spirits Tasting Menu

Steve has lived in the KC area his whole life. He’s a serial entrepreneur who is excited to introduce a new brand that shows what Kansas City creativity can do.

“My most memorable drink was a simple apple cider and whiskey concoction, served on the rocks. I had it at Nobu in Vegas. Soon after, I was refused entrance to a bar for wearing Converse All-Stars.”
David Epstein
founder, proprietor David is a fifth generation Kansas Citian. He was drawn back from New York by Kansas City’s recent cultural and entertainment boom to create a place where Jay Gatsby, Tom Pendergast and Charlie Parker would be happy to belly up to the bar.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS
We continue to keep the Fitness Center as safe as possible with these safety protocols strictly enforced: Children age 16+ may use the facilities without a parent present.
Children under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent. Hand sanitizer and wipes are provided. Member touch points such as restrooms and equipment are regularly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day. With the August heat and sun bearing down, you might want to consider splashing into our Water Aerobics classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7a to 7:45a. The monthly fee is $65 for Fitness Center members; $100 for non-Fitness Center members. It’s a refreshing way to start your day and get some great exercise, too! A blend of breath, movement and stillness for all levels. Gentle, flowing movements followed by deep, supported restorative poses culminate in a meditative state as the body fully relaxes.
Mixed Level Vinyasa Flow Wednesdays 8:30a to 9:30a
Gentle movements warm the body. We move into poses that strengthen and create flexibility and balance. We end with deep relaxation. For almost any level. Heather also offers private lessons (1 to 2 members at $70 per person) and small group lessons (3 to 5 members at $25 per person).

Towel service is not available. Please bring your own towels and be sure to take them with you when you leave. Water Aerobics, taught by Dawn Adams, are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7a to 7:45.
POOL RULES Always Obey Lifeguards!
No running, horseplay, sitting on ladders or climbing on guard stands. No diving allowed except in diving well. Children ages 10 and under must be attended to by an adult at all times while at the Pool facilities.
No outside food or drink is allowed; no gum is allowed.
No coolers or glass containers are permitted. The Club is not responsible for lost articles. Adults have priority for chairs and cabanas. Children over 7 years of age are not permitted in the wading pool. Toys are not allowed in the slide pool.
