Visitors can expect to meet more than 600 exhibitors at The Meetings Show this year – from venues and hotels to destinations, DMCs and technology suppliers. As well as welcoming back many familiar faces from previous shows, 2019 will see plenty of exciting new exhibitors joining the line-up, including hotels, venues and destinations around the UK such as Hever Castle, Goodwood, Sea Containers in London, Conference Eastbourne, Hotel Football, Allianz Park, Meet in Nottingham and Lime Venue Portfolio. This round-up of news from exhibitors in the UK is just a taste of what’s waiting to be discovered at the show. Imago Venues returns to the show with a new member of its team – performance bot and mascot, Patch. With Patch’s help, Imago Venues will be showing people how they can perform better in meetings and at networking events. Visitors will also be given a #GoPerformance kit which includes tips for getting a good night’s sleep, hotel room work-outs and how to eat well on the road. Details of the newly-transformed Woodlands Event Centre at Wyboston Lakes will be revealed at the show. The latest phase of the £3m investment in the centre, part of Wyboston Lakes Resorts, conference and events facilities, includes new design, reconfigured flexible space and the latest technology. Westminster Venue Collection will showcase its five new members –RSA House, Royal Over-Seas League, 110 Rochester Row, Dartmouth House and London Library – on stand J503. This brings the marketing consortium up to a total of 34 member venues. Reducing the industry’s reliance on single-use plastic will be the theme of the Meetings Industry Association’s mia Pavilion at this year’s show. After highlighting the plastics problem at its conference in March, the mia will be encouraging the sector to sign its pledge asking organisations to commit to eliminating single-use plastic. Team building is being taken to new heights by Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens in Hampshire with its new treeclimbing package. The package, in partnership with The Great Big Tree Climbing Company, offers groups the chance to climb a 130-year-old Deodar cedar tree, one of the tallest trees on the hotel’s 66-acre estate. Representatives from Stadium Experience will be on the CHS Stand this year. Stadium Experience is a collaboration of 60 major football and rugby clubs across the UK and Ireland, working together to promote these unique venues for meetings, conferences, exhibitions or events. The new-look Sea Containers London (formerly Mondrian London) will be on stand I301 sharing details of the hotel’s new branding, interior updates and more now it is under the management of international hospitality company Lore Group. Find out about corporate incentive packages at The Grand, York’s newest attribute The Cookery School. Following the much-anticipated opening, a selection of express, half and full day courses are on offer from £55 per person. Hotel Vintry & Mercer opened in the City earlier this year boasting three new meeting and event spaces inspired by the unique story of the city’s past while over in South Kensington, The Hotel Ampersand continues to offer meeting and event spaces to guests in South West London.

We’re delighted to be welcoming representatives from all around the world, so whether you’re looking to plan a meeting that’s a short hop away in Europe or want to travel to far-flung corners of the globe, you’ll find what you need at the show. Along with many regular and returning exhibitors you may remember from previous years, in 2019 we’ll also be welcoming new international exhibitors including Destination China, Barbados, the Pan Pacific Hotel Group, Czech Tourism and Peru. Here’s some of the latest news from our international exhibitors. Sir Hotels’ first ever design hotel, Sir Victor, opens in Barcelona this year and visitors to The Meetings Show will get the chance to hear all about the 91-bedroom hotel and its other facilities as well as its Sir Explore programme, an initiative which connects guests to in-the-know locals. Planning an event in Hamburg? Stop by Hamburg Convention Bureau’s stand to find out about the German city’s new hotels. 10 new hotels, including Premier Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Le Meridien open in Hamburg in 2019, offering an array of facilities to meet a range of needs and enable guests to blend business with pleasure. Following a three-month refurbishment, the Pool Garden Pavilion reopened on the fifth floor of Marina Mandarin Singapore last year. The Pavilion, boasting panoramic views of the Marina Bay skyline, can host events of up to 100 people and is ideal for weddings, cocktail parties or team building activities. The space has also been equipped with a built-in projector and screen, and mobile stage. A record 50 million people visited Los Angeles last year and the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board is keen to reveal why the city is such a popular place for both leisure and business travellers and what it can offer event organisers. The horologically themed Italian boutique hotels Hotel L’Orologio Venezia and Hotel L’Orologio Firenze offer boutique meeting spaces which hold up to 30 and 40 people respectively, allowing you to do business in serious style.
Dubai Business Events will be returning to the show along with its partners to inform visitors of the region’s latest offerings and services for planners and meetings professionals. Visitors can find out about a host of new attractions, venues and offerings such as Dubai Arena, Bluewaters Island and Expo 2020. Conventions Malta and Air Malta will be running an on-stand prize draw for two return economy flights with AirMalta to Malta – via a business card draw on the reception desk of their stand at the show.
