Joining the Fight Against Gun Violence

Friday is National Gun Violence Awareness Day in the United States – an annual occasion recognizing the thousands of people killed and injured by gun violence each year. This year’s event comes as the nation mourns the loss of 21 lives at a Texas elementary school on May 24.

Already this year, there have been 233 mass shootings across the country, and more than 18,000 deaths attributed to guns. As these numbers continue to increase, the fight to end gun violence has never been more urgent.
