HEAVENLY MANNA “THIS IS MY BODY…” And taking bread, giving thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.” Luke 22:19

“He shall crush your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” (Bereshith/Genesis 3:15)

Y

AHUAH, our Heavenly Father, from the very beginning of time, promised us that Messiah would come to deliver us from sin. Before sin entered the world, He had the solution—YAHUSHUAH THE MESSIAH. YAH told the serpent (satan) that although Messiah’s walk would be one of suffering for His people, that the Messiah would overcome—He will crush the serpent’s head, his dominion in the world and the reign of sin would be put to an end. The prophecy given to Daniel in Babylon, as an interpretation to Nebukadnetstsar’s dream, foretells of a time when the evil reigns of this world would be terminated, and YAH’s Kingdom will stand forever and life eternal would reign. (Daniel 2:34-36) Passover or Pesach is a celebration of our past, present and future deliverance from the reign of sin—bondage. Messiah was bruised during this time, as

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookednesses. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. YeshaYahu/Isaiah 53:5

Why did Immanuel come?

He suffered death on the torture stake for us. As YeshaYahu rightly prophesies, He was pierced for our transgressions bruised for our iniquity… (the holes on the Matzah above symbolize this). YAHUSHUAH Sar HaShalom (Prince of Peace) has, through the shedding of His blood, set us apart for YAH’s covenant of peace. After their deliverance from Egypt (Mitsrayim) and the defeat of Pharoah (who symbolizes satan), Moshe and the children of Yisra’el sang a prophetic song in Shemoth/Exodus 15. They say in verse 2 that YAH has become our “yeshua” Hebrew for deliverance. “Your right hand, O ,‫יהוה‬has become great in power. Your right hand, O , ‫יהוה‬ [YAHUAH] has crushed the enemy. (Exo 15:6) As we celebrate Messiah’s Passover, which He told us to keep doing in His memory, we are reminded of His suffering. This Heavenly Manna came down for our sake and after overcoming death was exalted to sit at YAHUAH’s right hand.

“For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the Son of Aḏam be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Mat 12:40) “Men of Ninewĕh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Yonah, and look, a greater than Yonah is here. (Mat 12:41)

The Messiah was not resurrected on a Sunday. Those who wish to propagate the Easter myth would have you believe that, but it is a lie from the pits of hell to get people to break the very first command: that we should love YAH with all our heart, mind, soul and strength (Matt 22:37-38). We can’t do that if we are bound up in pagan practices. Messiah prophesied in Matt 12 that He would be in heart of the earth 3 days and 3 nights. So let’s do some basic math. Question: Good Friday evening to Easter Sunday dawn gives how many days and nights? Answer: 1 day and 2 nights: Friday night, Saturday day and Saturday night. NOTE: In Scripture, the day begins at sunset—not sunrise.

Why are people eating hot cross buns with yeast during Passover when YAH tells us eat UNLEAVENED BREAD. The leaven represents sin and the cross is an ancient symbol of Tammuz. YAH says we should serve no other but Him. Messiah tells us to keep Passover—not Easter. It is written in Jeremiah: “Learn not the way of the heathen...” MESSIAH ROSE ON SABBATH JUST BEFORE SUNSET.

*Abib is the Scriptural month in which Passover occurs.

“O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I desire, but as You desire.” (Mat 26:39) How many of us are willing to humble ourselves, even unto death, to do YAHUAH’S will? Even as His death loomed on the horizon, Our Messiah was able to utter these words above. We are called to do YAHUAH’S will despite the internal conflicts, despite our suffering, despite the pain, despite death. We can, by trusting in the promise of eternal life to all who believe and obey. “For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it. For what is a man profited if he gains all the world, and loses his own life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?” (Mat 16:25-26)

Then I said, “See, I have come; In the scroll of the Book it is prescribed for me. I have delighted to do Your pleasure, O my Elohim, And Your Torah is within my heart.” - Tehillim/Psalm 40:7-8 The Scriptures

Manna and Shabbat “...the bread of life...” The first time MANNA appears in Scripture, Shemoth/Exodus 16:15, the Yisra’elites were expressing consternation at the phenomenon of bread being rained down from heaven. “What is it?” they asked. And so they called it “manna” because they were puzzled. Many were likewise puzzled about the Messiah, and even believers today grapple to come to a full realization of truly who He is and why He is truly “Master of Shabbath.” (Matt 12, Mark 2, Luke 6.)

“I am the bread of life. “Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died. “This is the bread which comes down out of the heaven, so that anyone might eat of it, and not die. Yochanan/John 6:48-50

Strong’s concordance meaning: ‫ מן‬mân (pron. Mawn) From H4100; literally “a whatness” (so to speak), that is, manna (so called from the question about it): - manna. Manna was given in Shemoth as a part of the lesson on keeping Shabbath, the sign of YAH’s covenant in Messiah and the memorial of YAH’s creation and deliverance. (Shemoth/Exo 31:13, 20:11, Deb/Deut 5:15) In Deut 8:13 (see box below), we learn that manna was given to teach YAH’s people to live by His Word. Messiah YAHUSHUAH emphasized in Matt 4:4 the need for us to remember that “Man shall not live by bread alone…” when we are tempted by the enemy. Faithfull y keep ing the Sabbath is a signal way for us to show YAH we want to live by His Word. Those who “eat of it”—His Word, the Bread of Life—shall certainly NOT die. HAPPY PASSOVER!

“And He humbled you, and let you suffer hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, to make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of [YAHUAH] ‫יהוה‬.” (Debarim/Deut. 8:3) (See also Shemoth/Exodus 16:4) LAST ISSUE of FLAMING SWORD Newsletter can be read online:

INGREDIENTS 

2 cups flour  1 cup water

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Get everything that you need ready before you start. Preheat your oven to 475 degrees. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper. Get a rolling pin, pastry brush, and fork out. You only need two ingredients, flour and water. 2. Set your timer for 18 minutes. 3. Mix together 2 cups of flour with 1 cup of water.

4. Knead the dough on a well floured board until it comes together. It takes about 3-4 minutes. If the dough is really sticky (and mine was) add flour a Tablespoon at a time until it isn’t anymore. 5. Cut the dough into 8-12 chunks. Roll them out as thinly as you can. Make sure that you flour everything really well, this dough was sticky and it took a lot of flour for it to not stick. 6. Put the flattened dough onto the parchment lined baking sheet. Prick with a fork. Brush off some of the excess flour, I didn’t, and I should have. This dough does not spread so you can put a bunch on a sheet. Put in the preheated oven. And start working on the next batch. The clock is ticking. After 3-4 minutes, they will be golden brown and crispy. (Source: http://bakedbree.com/homemade-matzo)
