of athletes throughout the world, these five Golazo rings represent the intertwined activities which enable us to make society a healthier and happier place.

When I started this company in October 1990, we had no internet, no mobile phones, no personal computers, and no seed capital available. Hard to imagine how we started and became successful from year 1.
The simple reason is that our services were an answer to an unmet market demand for a healthier and more active lifestyle. Golazo has been built from scratch based on strong values, with a no-nonsense attitude and strong aspirations. One of our first clients was Nike, for whom we linked their up-and-coming brand as a title sponsor to events, which was revolutionary at that time. One year later we linked recreational cycling to pro-cycling with the Tour of Flanders, being the first to do so in that sport. We were the first to launch a podcast to get people off their couch and start jogging (Start 2 Run). As an active lifestyle movement, Golazo has always been an innovator.
Obviously, we have changed and adapted our offering over time, but our mission has remained intact: we go for a healthier and happier society. Not in isolation, but we define our next moves together.
Golazo’s seven game changers to stay relevant over time remain customer centricity, agility and speed to market, operational resilience, teamwork, innovation, financial stability, and strong social responsibility. These game changers rely on our strong company mission with ever increasing capabilities and a solid commitment.
In 2024, Golazo will once again deliver organic growth of over 15%, thanks to an increasing diversity of events, a focus on holistic corporate wellbeing and development, a renewed media and data strategy, a more international brand and consultancy division and a blossoming talent representation division. Our events championship division will continue to grow and deliver events in various sports on several continents. We are very active with various stakeholders of the Paris
Olympics in the areas of event logistics, hospitality and ticketing and consulting. We deliver holistic wellbeing programmes for companies, combining physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. We make our clients’ brands shine and will support our athletes to win and break records.
At the same time, we continue to build our movement and make it futureproof. Our current horizon is 2040 when we will celebrate our 50th anniversary. Our services in 2040 will certainly be different from today, but one thing we can guarantee: our mission and purpose will remain unchanged. Over the next decades, extra focus will be on digital healthcare and wellbeing, public private partnerships, beneficial artificial intelligence, hyper personalisation, and ethical citizenship.

HISTORY
FACTS & STATS A GROUP OF COMPANIES FOUNDED 18 OCT 1990
Without a solid business plan, but with a strong conviction that sport mattered in society, 1984 Olympian Bob Verbeeck starts CIS on 18 October 1990. The acronym stands for “Consultants in Sports”. The new company intends to consult brands on their sports sponsorship and strategy. Between 2000 and 2008, CIS starts working together with Octagon (Interpublic IPG) on a European scale. Octagon CIS becomes a major player in sports consultancy and brand activation in Europe. In 2008, Bob Verbeeck regains full control over the company. The company name changes to Golazo, which focuses on the development of its own event portfolio, athlete representation, sports media and consultancy in Belgium.
With new offices opening in 2014 in The Netherlands, France, Germany and the UK, the company goes international. This growth strategy is a combination of acquisitions and organic growth. A multi-brand strategy is part of the growth plan. Most acquisitions are related to events, consultancy and brand activation. Founder Bob Verbeeck sells a 20% equity stake to a group of national and international investors in 2018. A board of directors is installed with Johnny Thijs (ex-CEO Belgian Post) as chairman.
Golazo continues to grow with ever increasing event offers in sports such as golf, breaking, padel, 3x3 basketball, … In corporate wellbeing the focus is now on holistic wellbeing making employees healthier and happier with a physical, mental and spiritual approach. More brands than ever are serviced with activations and digital content. A new African headquarter in Nairobi (Kenya), means the start of the expansion of the activities on that continent as well. The recent growth resulted in a record-breaking turnover of 131 million in 2023.

We have been committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for years and try to implement them as much as possible in our organisation. Furthermore, we actively support initiatives committed to nature conservation through contributions from events that also take place in the heart of that nature.

Fonds Gehandicapten Sport: We have been a proud Fairshare Partner of the ‘Fonds Gehandicapten Sport’ for several years.
Challenge at the NN Marathon Rotterdam and ASML Marathon Eindhoven for people with disabilities or people who have to overcome obstacles to exercise. They cover the last 1,195 km of the event.
CRUYFF FOUNDATION
The Johan Cruyff Foundation supports and develops impactful sports and play projects all around the world. They focus on children and youngsters for whom sport isn’t a part of their lives that can be taken for granted. We support the Cruyff Foundation in marketing communications.
SIMBOLEI
Meet our ten Golazo scholars of the Simbolei Girls’ Academy in Iten, Kenya. They all finished their term with excellent results. Since 2008, Golazo has been funding educational programmes in Africa with a focus on equal educational opportunities. We will double our scholarships to 20 students in 2024.
100KM FOR KOM OP TEGEN KANKER
A unique running event, in which teams of four run 100 km together to raise money for the fight against cancer. The challenge and group spirit are key.
R.EV BRUSSELS CYCLING ACADEMY
Golazo is a partner of this personal initiative from Remco Evenepoel. In cooperation with neighbourhood and youth centres of the Brussels municipalities, the academy wants to make cycling accessible for children and young people from all walks of life. In addition to the social aspect, the project includes a sporting goal: offer the greatest talents a training platform to keep growing in cycling.

Not only does this event actively raise funds for the Diabetes League and the fight against lung disease, but it also sees a dozen or so people with the condition in question having received assistance from Golazo Energy coaches for months at a time to face the challenge of reaching the summit.

Run against cancer initiative that encourages participants of the NN Marathon Rotterdam to ask for sponsorship or donate when registering. This has yielded over 1 million Euros in 2023. Part of it was used to build the bridge between the Erasmus MC and social welfare centre Daniel den Hoed.
MAMA CYCLING / WORLD BICYCLING RELIEF
Golazo partnered up with this project initiated by Kenya’s first lady, her excellency Rachel Ruto. Mama cycling promotes cycling in Kenya and provides bicycles more widely throughout the country.

CELEBRATES A DECADE OF RUNNING TRIUMPHS
Evy Gruyaert has served as a coach and the voice of the Start 2 Run app for a decade, motivating 2,3 million people to achieve their first 5km run. Launched in 2013 by Energy Lab, the app has seen users cover a total distance of 50 million kilometres in ten years. The app expanded rapidly, with successful Dutch (Hardlopen met Evy), French, English, German, and Italian versions. Each year, 1,3 million training sessions of 4,5 km are completed, attracting 17.500 new users monthly. The Start 2 Run community, where users support each other and share experiences, came about naturally. Celebrating its 10 th anniversary, the app hosted a “celebration run” during ENGIE Dwars door Hasselt in October, with coach Evy cheering on the 3K and 5K runners, culminating in a triumphant finish for 9.000 participants and reaching a milestone of 100.000 active subscribers.

Our offers are primarily aimed at companies, but of course individuals can also book their Paris trip through them.

A TAILOR MADE AND HOLISTIC WELLBEING PROGRAMME FOR ING
Employees at ING were looking for ways to boost their energy levels, aiming to enhance productivity and engagement on the work floor. ING did already offer a wide range of wellbeing programmes. However, finding what’s right for you and realising what causes your energy to be low requires expertise and proper guidance, making the choice of the right programme easier said than done.
That is why we created a holistic and integrated wellbeing programme, Vitality Boost. The programme offers 9 Energy Journeys all employees can choose from. Each Energy journey dives into a specific wellbeing topic such as mental resilience, nutrition, purpose, work enjoyment, sleep, and so on.
The big launch of Vitality Boost entailed an extensive and phased internal communications campaign. Through postering, digital screens and online presence we were able to raise awareness and engagement for the Vitality Boost programme, reaching 2.665 ING employees in Belgium.
This is a unique and multidimensional approach that has already proven successful for the 220 employees who tested the programme in May. I’m really looking forward to following my own Journey and seeing our ING colleagues embark on the path to an even better balance in their life.

Multipharma conducted a wellbeing survey among its employees, revealing some interesting people insights. While employees expressed a strong sense of purpose, connection and engagement, there was an underlying feeling of physical and mental fatigue. That’s when Golazo Energy introduced the "Master Your Energy" program, engaging 20 Multipharma ambassadors selected from different offices and local branches.
The chosen ambassadors, representing a mix of French and Dutch participants, took part in a journey aimed at improving their four energy pillars (spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical energy). The programme consists of inspirational keynotes, a biological age test, 1:1 coaching, workshops and a Whoop wearable capturing people’s individual health data. This not only serves as a tool for selfmotivation but also encourages ongoing reflection on the cultivation of new, healthy habits regarding their personal energy management.
MULTIPHARMAFITBONUS FREE WELLBEING PROGRAMME FOR FLEMISH SMES AND ENTREPRENEURS
We developed FitBonus on behalf of the Flemish Government in collaboration with BioRICS. It was a free nine-month wellbeing programme for 2.500 employees in the Flemish SME and self-employed sector, focusing on the physical, mental, and social health of participants. With the assistance of our professional coaches, interactive webinars and sports events, we addressed various topics related to physical, mental, and social energy levels.
The launch of FitBonus was an overwhelming success! In just a few weeks, a staggering 978 Flemish SMEs and self-employed individuals enrolled 11.047 workers in the FitBonus programme. The second edition of FitBonus is currently underway, with 2.500 workers actively participating.
FOSTERING GLOBAL WELLBEING ADECCO
'S WIN4YOUTH AND GOLAZO ENERGY ALLIANCE
Adecco's Win4Youth programme joined forces with Golazo Energy in 2010. This long lasting partnership has resulted in a comprehensive wellbeing initiative that engages over 50 global ambassadors in a six-month sports journey annually. The programme integrates physical fitness, community involvement, and personal development. Regular checkins at regional offices ensure effective resonance with the ambassador team, reinforcing a commitment to holistic wellbeing.
With 7.300 global participants and over one million logged activity hours in the last 13 years, Win4Youth's impact is reflected in increased engagement scores. This year’s 57 ambassadors successfully completed their transformative journey as they crossed the finish line of the Ocean Lava Triathlon in Lanzarote, cultivating a fitter lifestyle and becoming a real ambassador for their country.

The Traineeship at FrieslandCampina offers emerging talents the opportunity to participate in a personal development programme within the company. Throughout this journey, we inspire trainees by connecting them with each other and with FrieslandCampina.
As part of their personal development journey, FrieslandCampina's trainees embark on an 'Impact Journey' to Schiermonnikoog, The Netherlands. During this two-day trip, guided by facilitators and experts, trainees engage in various tasks.
These assignments provide further insight into themselves, their personal leadership, and equip them with tools to experiment in their daily lives. Additionally, this three-day journey naturally fosters team spirit, allowing them to have fun together surrounded by the beautiful nature of Schiermonnikoog.

A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH WITH RABOBANK
In collaboration with Rabobank's local leaders, we've focused on fostering forward-looking skills, emphasizing the key 21st-century leadership traits: agility, judgment & decision-making, and collaboration. Over a seven-month journey, we facilitated coaching labs and deep days, cultivating trust and forming a community where leaders learn from one another. We organized four skill days, spotlighting active listening, connections, courageous conversations, informed choices, and adaptability.
Sessions included connected breathing and a hostage simulation, fostering decision-making skills. The focus remained on agility in the complex world these leaders navigate.
Through this journey, they've not only deepened their understanding of each other but also worked on improving their leadership craftsmanship, guided by our experts. After all, leadership is a discipline that demands continuous development.

This was Milan’s victory in the SD Worx Classic in Tubize in July, 2023. The icing on the cake of a beautiful season with several podium finishes in the Tour of Limburg, Four Days of Dunkirk, Czech Tour, Arctic Race of Norway, and Tour of Britain. The next step? Milan is levelling and joining the World Tour after 2 years with Team Flanders. Milan will be representing Team Cofidis for the next 2 years. He is one of the four riders from the current squad making the transition to the World Tour this year. We play a crucial role in scouting and guiding these riders within the team, their mission being: “guiding young talent to the top!”

BALOISE TREK LIONS
Thibau Nys, son of legendary cyclist Sven Nys, celebrated a historic victory on the famous Koppenberg in Oudenaarde, marking the family’s tenth triumph on this iconic course. Riding for the ‘Baloise Trek Lions’ team, Thibau aims to establish himself as a consistent top-five contender. His victories in the Cyclocross World Cup in Waterloo (USA) and in “the Koppenbergcross” highlight this ambitious objective, adding a remarkable chapter to the Nys family legacy in cyclocross.
Fleur Moors also made history as the first Belgian Junior to capture the European title at the Road Cycling European Championships in Drenthe. In only her third cycling season, Moors showed off her sprinting skills on the challenging VAM-berg. At the age of 18, Fleur, a nutrition and dietetics student, fancies a future balancing road cycling and cyclocross, transitioning to the U23 category.

AUDI DRIVEN BY PROGRESS
Progress is in Audi’s DNA. Beyond the world of cars, Audi goes about its business with an immense inner drive and the ambition to always do better. We find this same ambition in our Belgian field hockey teams, the Red Lions and Red Panthers, of which Audi is a loyal partner. Progress was the key word in our three-part campaign.
1 PROGRESS – EXERCISES: At our Audi stand during the ION Hockey Finals and the FIH Pro League, hockey fans could compete against Red Lions and Red Panthers by doing some essential fitness and hockey exercises. After participating, everyone received digital tips and tricks from physical coaches and from the Red Lions and Red Panthers themselves to become an even better hockey player.
2 PROGRESS – CONTENT: The drive to constantly improve is inseparable from Audi. But how does this resonate with our national field hockey teams? What role does innovation play in raising the bar ever higher, and how do you measure progress within a sports team? We asked Arthur De Sloover, Barbara Nelen and Raoul Ehren. Their vision was captured in a series of four videos.

In Vlaams-Brabant (Flemish-Brabant), cycling fun lurks behind every corner. Whether it is on your road bike, gravel bike or mountain bike… The choice is yours. So take your bike and discover the beautiful trails and roads in Hageland, Dijleland and Pajottenland through ever changing landscapes.
At the province’s request, we developed a sports-tourism communication campaign consisting of social media content and print ads to promote Vlaams-Brabant as the cycling mecca of Flanders. So we jumped into the breakaway with Thibau Nys, Jasper Stuyven, Remco
Evenepoel and Elke Bleyaert. As ambassadors of the region, they took cycling fans along their favourite hotspots and hills. Both on and off the bike.

AA DRINK CAMPAIGN 2023
In 2022, we worked with our Dutch colleagues to develop a new positioning for AA Drink called: Ready For More! In 2022, this campaign revolved around overcoming mental barriers in sport. Engaging in sport, involves a constant psychological battle with yourself, but once you overcome your mental obstacles, you are “Ready For More”.
In 2023, the campaign is now about stepping out of your comfort zone and about taking on new experiences so that you can take the next step. In this campaign, running, cycling, padel and CrossFit again play an important role. For example, we see a padel player being almost literally smashed off the court by her opponents, an encounter that then inspires her to up her own game. The campaign runs in 4 waves, with each wave also representing a sport.
Our TV-commercials can be seen around all major sporting events, including the Tour de France, the Rotterdam Marathon, the WPT Amsterdam Open, etc. Campaign visuals can be seen through a targeted (digital) out-of-home strategy around popular sports venues and events. Online, different types of sports fans are targeted with digital banners and social media ads.
CONTINENTAL CYCLING TEAM
For the 2023 cycling season, Continental Benelux offered all cyclists in Belgium the opportunity to experience the life of a professional cyclist. From preparing before the ride to crossing the finish line, Continental provided professional support. This included new gear, new tires, food and beverages along the course, as well as a safety car with a mechanic ready to assist at any time. This was the brainchild of former pro cyclist and new TV anchor, Bert De Backer. There were 40 slots available for this premium experience.
The programme featured four classics: Gent-Wevelgem Cyclo, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Liège-BastogneLiège, CFL Stelvio - and the TDF, culminating in the Tour de France. The overall winners had the opportunity to ride ahead of the pros on the Champs-Elysées during the final stage of the 2023 TDF and witness the pros crossing the finish line hours later. The ultimate dream for any lover of cycling.
In terms of communication, we created a selection plan and comprehensive communication, incorporating various iconic elements to make the process engaging and appealing for cyclists looking to join the Continental Cycling Team during the 2023 season.
The creative concept, known as the ‘poem of the race’, featured five poems written by renowned Flemish poet Willie Verhegghe, paying tribute to Continental tires and everyday cyclists. These poems were narrated by José De Cauwer, the voice of cycling on VRT, and Rodrigo Beenkens, the voice of cycling on RTBF. The narrations were accompanied by visuals of heroic cycling routes led by our team captain, Bert De Backer.
CANDRIAM WE SHARE THE SAME GOALS
Candriam stands for Conviction AND Responsibility In Asset Management. The values of conviction, responsibility, vision and trust are highly valued and are a perfect match with the Belgian Red Lions & Red Panthers. During the Ion Hockey Finals and FIH Hockey Pro League, we created a digital photo activation: the Candriam Player Card. Fans could develop their own Player Card based on the 4 values. Large billboards were placed at the event as an addon showing visuals of the Red Lions and Red Panthers representing these values.
BOLERO INVESTING & GRAVEL
Gravel and investing have more in common than meets the eye. For instance, the sense of adventure, ambition, curiosity and (financial) freedom. With this in mind, we devised a content campaign for Bolero that highlighted their main partnership with the first ever Belgian and European Gravel Championships on the 1st of October in Oud-Heverlee. Together with passionate gravel cyclist & investor Jan Bakelants, we translated this main idea into 4 beautiful videos, capturing the similarities between gravel cycling and investing.
We developed a strong activation concept that positions Lotto as the number one supporter of our national teams. For a Belgian national team athlete, timing and responsiveness is key. Making the right decision in a split second may lead to collective success. We took that insight to challenge fans to recognise as much national team athletes in a period of 30 seconds while they appear in a line up. Because a real fan recognises his heroes in a split second. Are you ready? Let’s play!
DEGROOF PETERCAM
Degroof Petercam sought our guidance in developing a strategic sponsorship plan, and we assisted them in formulating a well-founded sponsorship strategy in the realm of golf for 2024.
We facilitated negotiations between Degroof Petercam and prominent Belgian stakeholders.
Additionally, we played a pivotal role in securing a sponsorship deal between Degroof Petercam and Belgium’s top golf talent, Adrien Dumont de Chassart.
Looking ahead, our commitment extends to supporting Degroof Petercam in their golf journey, with ongoing assistance slated to continue beyond 2024.

The Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles is the biggest running festival in the country and finishers should be celebrated with their achievement. Thanks to Baloise, all participants could show off their finish time and easily share it on social media.

Belgian rugby has secured a new main sponsor! TVH had considered the possibility of connecting with the world of rugby and following our research and recommendations, it became evident that there was indeed a very strong match between the values of rugby and the corporate values of TVH. Starting from this strong foundation, we mapped out the various partnership opportunities available within the sport. This resulted in a long-term commitment between TVH, Belgium Rugby and its national teams, in which they share the ambition to help each other grow. For example, this sponsorship can also be leveraged in TVH’s foreign markets, where rugby is a very popular sport.

ROYAL ANTWERP FC - DEN DUBBEL
Royal Antwerp FC’s remarkable season saw them claim both the Jupiler Pro League title and Belgian cup. To capture the essence of their success, ELEVEN/DAZN collaborated with the club on a documentary. The premiere, held at Kinepolis in Antwerp, attracted over 6.000 fans eager to relive those memorable moments.
We hosted the event and on-site activation set-ups, such as the popup fanshop and the ‘Den Dubbel’ photo booth, we organised the ‘Den Dubbel’ Quiz, an exciting mobile game that allowed fans to win amazing prizes, resulting in a participation rate of 60% of all attendants. Following the event, we also made sure ‘Den Dubbel’ became known to the wider public by setting up social media ads to promote the documentary in the DAZN app.

Philips and PSV have broken the world record for the longest-running sponsorship in sport, as the football club celebrates its 110th anniversary this year. The record has been officially ratified and entered into the Guinness Book of Records.
The milestone was announced with a video starring the late Frits Philips, who always had a special bond with his beloved PSV. The video generated a lot of positive publicity in the region and was even shown on several national TV channels such as NOS and RTL. To honour the record, PSV played a match in the Dutch Eredivisie with the iconic PHILIPS letters on their shirts and PSV players visited the Philips campus to celebrate the record with employees.

In the Netherlands, there is a shortage of blood and a stagnation in the numbers of new blood donors. That is why Philips, PSV and Sanquin have united to recruit new blood donors. These new donors are directly responsible for keeping people healthy and saving lives.
The aim was to recruit 1.913 (the year PSV was founded) new blood donors in Eindhoven. The campaign proved to be a big success. By World Blood Donor Day, 4.462 new blood donors registered in just six months and these numbers are still rising. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to social responsibility and our ability to make a positive impact in football and in the wider community.

For the second year in a row, the absolute world’s best were present in Amsterdam. As in 2022, our events and brands division (together with Deux Agency) were responsible for organising the biggest padel event in the world again this year. And with success, as nearly 30.000 people attended AFAS Live, and the event was seen by 2.1 million viewers on Dutch channels. Padel is booming and the World Padel Tour Decathlon Amsterdam Open 2023 contributed to this, putting all facets of the sport on display and once again confirming the spectacular rise of the sport!

With their new ‘Teamfruit’ campaign, Albert Heijn and the KNVB are promoting a healthy lifestyle and a responsible sports environment. Healthy carbohydrates from fruit are essential for recovery and strength, especially for children. However, less than half of children under 12 eat enough fruit on a daily basis. Time for a change!
With the Teamfruit campaign, Albert Heijn and the KNVB teamed up to change young footballers’ behaviour and promote a healthy lifestyle. In collaboration with Voetbal.nl - the central football platform for football clubs in the Netherlands - a Teamfruit functionality was added to the app. In addition, teams could request a Teamfruit box to take fruit to their match. This cross-media campaign was featured on TV, online platforms of football media and podcasts and during matches of the Dutch national team and Eredivisie.

In development of the creative concept we looked at common values of Olympic Games athletes, Bridgestone and the consumers and found that all wanted to feel in control of their next step, in their progress and their success, not leaving anything to luck.
This inspired Bridgestone’s campaign “Prepared to Perform” that plays with the meaning of “Luck” and the misappropriation of the term in the world of elite performance.
Alongside the creation of the new campaign, Golazo secured for Bridgestone 14 pan-European ambassadors that embodied the new campaign that helped us bring to life the campaign in showing how Olympians and Paralympians mitigate as much risk as possible with rigorous training and mental preparation, and when they succeed, it has nothing to do with luck. Building regulations, maintenance, locations, materials, sport federation guidelines, safety requirements and licensing: these

This magazine explains what the platform is, how it works, what the future will bring and especially why clubs, primarily run by volunteers, can benefit from this. The world first got to know you when you leaped triumphantly across the finish line, becoming the first man to run a marathon in a time of 2:00:35, breaking the world record. Now, the world that grew to love you not just on the track but off it, has been left with a broken heart. Kelvin, you ran at your own pace, running the good race, and now you've gone to a better place. A place where you can run amongst the stars just as you did here on Earth.
This is not goodbye but see you soon, dear friend, at the finish line.
