London England
A multi-coloured myriad of sights, culture and great storytelling stretching over 2,000 years, this is the great British metropolis of London. In this iconic capital, history hides around every corner and as you explore the city, you’re bound to find your very own version of what London is. First-time visitors should start their day alighting from Westminster Underground Station. Upon exiting, you’ll find yourself right in front the Houses of Parliament and its instantly recognisable clock, Big Ben. Walk out on the adjacent Westminster Bridge for a perfect
view of the entire building as well as the mighty River Thames that flows underneath. Head back past Big Ben again, for a visit to the majestic Westminster Cathedral, before making your way to Buckingham Palace. After checking to see if the Queen is home, you can stroll slowly up The Mall to Trafalgar Square where Lord Nelson has stood faithfully on his column for the last 200 years. The London Underground network reaches out into the furthest nooks of the city and so far we have only really scratched the surface. Head to Whitechapel in East
London for a classic Jack the Ripper tour, walk in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes from his apartment in Baker Street, experience the Beefeaters at the Tower of London or see the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral. You can also choose to cross the Thames to see the gigantic Shard, the museum of Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. The British capital has a constant offering of activities or things to do and see, and navigating the Underground network, double-decker busses or black cabs will serve up a city of plenty.
Novotel London West London is a dashing, modern city, and at the Novotel London West, you can experience the stylish beat of the metropolis with all the comforts that befits a great hotel. Guests can dine in one of the two restaurants, where the Artisan Grill has been awarded an AA Rosette for its high quality of cuisine, while the buffet-style Aroma Restaurant offers an equally high standard of international dishes. The hotel also includes two bars, where you can enjoy a quiet drink in warm, welcoming
surroundings. If, however, you’re seeking to release a bit of energy, you can visit the in-house fitness centre or head out on an exploration of the city. The hotel is conveniently located near the Hammersmith Underground Station, which allows you to easily make your way to the many sights of Central London.

Edinburgh Scotland
A city of old gothic and modern chic, of great literature, bagpipes and a buzzing art scene, Edinburgh is the beautiful frontispiece of Scottish culture and identity. Situated on and around rugged hills and volcanic rock, the capital of Scotland offers scenic views of old castles and Georgian buildings and daring modern architecture, set against the sheer beauty of nature’s own canvas. Start your exploration of the city from the commanding Edinburgh Castle. The road leading up to the castle is known as the
Royal Mile, as its cobbled surface stretches all the way down to the royal Holyrood Palace. The mile is packed full of tartan-clad pipers and shops from where you can buy distinct Scottish souvenirs such as whisky or your very own kilt. From The Royal Mile you are within close reach of a number of Edinburgh’s famous sites. You can either choose to continue further down to the modernist building of the Scottish Parliament and the foot of Arthur’s Seat, or instead head towards the New Town, immediately north of the Old Town. Shop along Princes
Street and Rose Street, go for a stroll in the Princes Street Gardens; spend some time in the National Gallery or climb the majestic Walter Scott Monument, which is the tallest tribute to an author in the world. If you are more interested in the many stories that lie beneath the surface of the city, then sign up for one of the many guided tours, where you can either explore the literary or historical background of the city, or even venture into the darker sides of the city through a tour of the Edinburgh Dungeons.
