BENIDORM Spain Located right in the middle of the Costa Blanca, Benidorm is divided by the two beaches Poniente and Levante - the Spanish words for sunrise and sunset. Inarguably the heart of the city, these two sandy beaches attract both holidaymakers and locals alike all year long. Here you will also find plenty of options for water sports as well as tour boats along the coast and to the nearby Benidorm Island, which serves as a wildlife sanctuary. For an alternative view of the city, head to the chequered Santa Ana Square which separates the two beaches. Here you can either view the sea and the cityscape from the Mirador viewing platform or walk down the steps to the Mediterranean Balcony, where you’ll be almost entirely surrounded by the sea and the waves crashing gently against the rocks below. Benidorm is a place where sun, sand and luscious water come first, but you’ll easily be able to find plenty of adventures around every corner to add extra flavour to your holiday.
