LISBON Dotted with signature yellow trams and belle ĂŠpoque-inspired architecture, the pastel-colored houses and cobbled quaintness of Lisbon are immediately welcoming as you set foot in the city. Along the banks of the Tagus, visitors will see historical influences alongside

modern shops, restaurants and art works, from the stunning UNESCO Heritagelisted Jeronimos Monastery and the Belem Tower to the longest bridge in Europe, the sleek Vasco da Gama Bridge. Trawl through quaint markets like Feira da Ladra and the Mercado da Ribeira

next to the Cais do Sodre station, before strolling up and down the narrow streets of the Bairro Alto and Alfama areas. Here you can check out the Lisbon Cathedral and browse the shops in the old-fashioned Baixa Pombalina-area.

In Alfama, you can enjoy some freshlycaught seafood and a glass of wine, while being entertained by a rendition of the traditional fado – Lisbon’s iconic romantic music.

Neya Lisboa Hotel The centrally located Neya Hotel prides itself on its eco-sustainability, modern facilities and contemporary interior design. Just a short drive from the airport, the hotel is within walking distance to many of Lisbon’s stunning attractions, and also just 750 meters from the nearest metro station. Capitalizing on the hotel’s location, Neya Hotel has produced its own app to help guests get the best from the city, offering tips on where to visit and how to navigate the city – whether by foot, bike or public transport. After a day’s sightseeing, head back to the hotel to relax in the Day Spa, which offers a plethora of treatments as well as a Jacuzzi and tea ritual room. When dinnertime comes around, the Viva Lisboa restaurant will cater to your culinary cravings with innovative and delicious Portuguese cuisine in an elegant environment. Your double room at the Neya Hotel is equally stylish, with a purple color scheme, rich fabrics and modern amenities.

COIMBRA The small village of MeĂŁs do Campo is found in the region of Coimbra, around 20 kilometres from the city of the same name. The two locations are very different to one another, with MeĂŁs do Campo being a much quieter locale, offering just a few eateries and bars.

Coimbra is a much larger hub known as the medieval capital of Portugal. Full of historical landmarks and interesting culture, Coimbra is spread out across quaint hills and has the beautiful Rio Mondego running through its multicoloured collage of buildings. A popular

student destination for Portuguese, the nightlife in the area is both vibrant and varied. The city offers numerous locations to experience performances of fado, Portuguese blues, and enjoy traditional meals. A museum stands adjacent to

the haunting ruins of the Santa Clara convent, which was abandoned in 1677. The artefacts recovered from the site – lucky charms, jewellery and remarkable examples of 17th-century dentistry – are fascinating.

Garça Real Hotel & Spa With hospitality being its primary focus, the Garça Real Hotel & Spa offers a comfortable base for your Portuguese holiday. In one of the most scenic areas of Portugal, the hotel is found in the quaint village of Meãs do Campo. The hub of larger city Coimbra is also just 15 minutes away. The Garça Real Hotel & Spa is set among the gorgeous Baixo Mondego fields, allowing guests to relax in this unforgettable landscape. Continuing the idyllic surroundings within the hotel, Tranquility Spa offers two massage rooms, a hammam and a Jacuzzi for guests’ relaxation needs. Accommodation echoes that same feeling of serenity at the Garça Real Hotel & Spa, with each air-conditioned room having its own balcony. Guests can enjoy their abodes a little while longer with breakfast in the room, while lunch and dinner are served in the hotel’s Dona Raquel restaurant, offering both local and international cuisine. There is also an on-site bar frequented for nightcaps, an outdoor pool, a fitness centre and numerous bikes available to rent from reception – a perfect way to explore the natural beauty around the grounds.

VIDAGO The small village of Vidago is set in the heart of northern Portugal, full of quaint local restaurants and shops, as well as the chance to explore the magnificent Tamega River. A little further on, you can visit the old Roman city of Chaves

which borders Spain. Explore the old fortifications, stroll along the banks of the Tamega and over the romantic 12thcentury Roman bridge. After a day spent walking, you can retire to one of the bars or restaurants

for a refreshing drink or to sample the regional favorite – cured presunto hams. Nearby, you can visit the natural hot springs which originally made this town a desirable settlement. The water in the springs is some of the hottest in Europe,

in some places reaching up to 70°C. The region – like the hotel – is centered on a quieter pace of life with a focus on recreation and relaxation.

Vidago Palace Hotel Recently named as one of the Leading Hotels of the World, the Vidago Palace is also exceedingly popular with guests. It has a five-star rating on TripAdvisor and recently received a Travellers Choice Award in 2018. Situated just outside the charming little village of Vidago, it’s a majestic building surrounded by tranquil greenery. Built in 1910, the hotel stands as a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional Belle Époque chic. It’s on-site 18-hole golf course, fine-dining and the fact that it is the eighth best luxury hotel in Portugal mean it’s the ultimate in opulence. Surrounded by 100 hectares of woods, parkland and thermal spas, the hotel is the perfect retreat for guests seeking pure relaxation. Take a dip in either the indoor or outdoor pool, go for a reinvigorating spa treatment, play a round of golf on the adjacent course or simply relax in the exquisite rooms. Indulge your taste buds in one of the four restaurants, where the highly acclaimed and award-winning chef Vitor Matos is at the reins of the menu of gastronomic delights.

PORTO A coastal city in Northwest Portugal, Porto is a vibrant and historic vacation destination. The striking Dom Luis I Bridge connects the two halves of the city and the historical old town has been listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site. You can walk along the river by the shops and cafĂŠs of

the Cais da Ribeira and dart in and out of the small streets that run up the hillsides on which Porto stands. Visit the beautiful SĂŠ Cathedral and Bolso Palace that stand at each corner of the center and then head further out of the city for lesser known gems. Go north, past the Torre dos

Clerigos to one of the oldest bookshops in the world, the Lello and Irmao. For a quirky architectural site on the northern side of Porto, head to the Casa da Musica. This large, abstract and very white concert hall hosts predominantly classical performances, and is well-worth

a visit after a great dinner at one of the restaurants near the center. One delicacy that particularly stands out in Porto is the Francesinha, a dish consisting of layers of bread, smoky meat and cheese, topped with a fried egg and chips.

Hotel Acta the Avenue A stylish four-star hotel, Acta the Avenue provides a comfortable and convenient base for all those visiting Porto whether it be for business or leisure. The property is situated in the Bonfim neighbourhood, just a 15-minute walk from the city centre and only 200 metres to the nearest metro station that will transport you efficiently to Porto’s main attractions. The likes of Clérigos Tower, Don Luis I Bridge and the Estádio do Dragão football stadium are all 20-minutes away on foot. Acta the Avenue offers a collection of spacious and contemporary rooms that all come equipped with the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. Additionally, guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning in the ground floor lounge area, the convenience of a 24-hour reception, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and even a terrace located on the sixth floor that boasts panoramic views of Porto and hammocks to lounge on after a day of sightseeing.
