The area On the banks of the azure-blue sea, lies the charming village of Lindos. Along the old, narrow streets you will find quaint little shops as well as cafés and tavernas where you can enjoy amazing Greek specialities like moussaka, souvlaki and charcoal-grilled fish with a glass of delicious Greek wine amongst the chatter and laughter of the locals. Towering over Lindos is the old fortress. Now an archaeological site, this hillside fortification has been held by Greeks, Romans, Ottomans and other great empires throughout history. This fascinating site can be explored either at your own leisure or through guided tours. Near Lindos you’ll also find plenty of coastline with beautiful white, sandy beaches and sky-blue water. Pallas Beach to the north of the village is a popular seaside-place for locals and visitors alike, however, for a truly relaxing escape from the rest of the world, head to St Paul’s Bay immediately south of the village for a small cove that is both peaceful and picturesque.
