EROTIC ART
SEDUCED BY THE FEMALE CREATURE IN 80 YEARS ARTIST FLEMMING BRYLLE

IC ART” EMALE VALUES, BY THE ARTIST. NCESSANTLY, ITH JOY, TURN TO.
PROLOGUE For 80 years i have been tantalisingly seduced by women. This is the foundation for my work in this book.
The sketches, graphics, sculptures and paintings reproduced in the book were all created out of profound respect and love for the female creature. I drew inspiration from my life in a happy marriage, enhanced by my zest for life and energy. Life and women have provided inspiration for my work as an artist and designer. They claim that men think of women once every 10 minutes. This is no claim!
A woman is your lifeblood. She raises, educates and influences you in the most impressionable phase of your life. It is a woman who opens the door to life and her impact follows you throughout your life. Women never leave you in peace. A woman is a prerequisite for enthusiasm and zest for life. That is why women are an incessant visual motif in my work. The beauty of women in sex, body and soul and a close, intimate relationship with them are the very essence of life and art.

When the woman gives Life She engage Strength, Feelings and Endurance, and provides a miracle Flemming Brylle 2005
The Mother of the Whole Tribe. The Stone Age woman, Gro was the mother of the whole tribe. The settlement was filled with children. Gro had plenty of her own, but she did not distinguish carefully between her own and others’. All the children were in her care. Wherever Gro saw a child, she picked the child up with open arms, gave it a drink and then let it sleep on her bosom. She got up before anyone else in the settlement and was the last to go to bed. No one had ever seen her sleeping. The tribe held together without coercion thanks to her. Among the men it had not been decided who was in charge of the regime. But if any disagreement ever arose, it was never long before they asked for Gro’s opinion. She was beloved of all men. Sculpture: Flemming Brylle, 2003 Text: Johannes V. Jensen, The Long Journey

EPILOGUE EROTIC ART This book represents a small, but important area of my work. All the works are related to the unfailing sex appeal of woman. They are very much inspired by the two women with whom I have shared my life for the past 60 years. A constant inspiration accompanied by flexible advice and criticism. The best kind of muses.

Helga Reich (b.1934), fashion designer.
We tackled life and work together with joy.
We met in 1953 and were married in 1956. Our lives were enriched by three sons, six grandchildren and now the first great-grandchild.
In addition to looking after the family’s well-being, Helga succeeded in designing fashion and running a ceramic workshop with great artistic flair.
We built houses for our family, we established design companies. We created art and innovative design concepts.
Several of Helga’s ceramic works are included in this book.
We lost and won in equal measure. We were privileged in our everyday lives and work. Our life was enriched by constant evolution.
Embossed on the cover and elsewhere in the book are reproductions of ceramic works created by Helga. Helga and I shared a very privileged life, she passed away in 2009, she will be with me, for the rest of my days.
