ANTOINETTE Ribbons are a whole universe themselfs, but what happens when you put pastel colors and laces in a world f illed with frivolity? This is the result of a workshop made with a company called FAHILOS and the UPB (University) where we were given threads and ribbons to create a product. Out of the research about Versailles Marie Antoinette and it’s story, a product f illed with extravaganza came out, in a period recognized by it’s importance on fashion and appareance creating a feminine atmosphere and with pastries involved was our choice

As Gabriel García Márquez writes in a story called “I only came to use the phone” in the book Strange Pilgrims: 12 stories this performance started from the idea of feeling out of place. Colombia, young, vital, vibrant, indigenous, dressed up with coffee and orchids f ind herself very out of place, where is she? She looks around and f ind everything very different form the landscape she knows by heart, she's all mountains and green all over but everything seems so strange…. On a black and white f loor, she sees only cigars, milkshakes and sodas, a Johnny Cash’s song plays in the background… She stands up and realizes she cannot move, she is chained… There's only one man standing in front of a bar, he is United States, looks pretty much like a puppet, not talking by initiative and only waving without making anything else Where I'm I? She gets no answer Who are you? – Colombia asks again *a phone rings by his side* - he doesn't answer I think it's important, you should pick up… I can't do it, I'm chained – she says He smiles *the phone rings again* Please, answer… It's important - No answer from United States How did I get here? – asks Colombia Suddenly, he picks up the phone and eats the phone's speaker

Ho Hsien-Ku ("the Immortal Maiden Ho") is one of the Pa-Hsien, or Eight Immortals of Taoist legend, and usually the only female one. She is said to have attained Heaven in broad daylight, and is usually shown with a lotus f lower or a peach. A woman that never grows old, that takes time as her best friend, it makes her wiser. Calmed, fun, always with a young spirit, practices yoga and takes care of herself and her spaces. She’s very spiritual and her heaven is knowledge, she always loves to learn 16

CI JEANS CI JEANS is a denim comany based in Medellin, Colombia. Founded in 1993. Ci Jeans dedicated their ef forts to export high quality garments to the international markets; their product is developed from cutting, sewing, washing to f inishing and jeans delivered worldwide. With around 3000 employees it’s much more than a company, it’s a school and a company rich in knowledge. A company in which I learned about many things, but f irst of all was team work, discipline, research, denim chain, person development, strategic leadership management, events management, collection conceptualization and development, among others. The results are the sum of many months of hard work and passion of 9 people at the research & design team joining theirs hearts, souls, and capacities into a job well done, passionately crafted and carefully matured.

R&D - SHOWROOMS Research and development is composed of 2 departments as follow: Research and design department The designers who work in this area are in a continuous reserach, looking for new trends on garment construction and f inishes. based on this analysis, every month we make new garments to show the latest trends to our clients, and being ahead on the fashion market.
New product department Trough this area we want to accomplish all of our client needs, based on the specif ications we recieve from the clients and translating their requirements to the 20
company language, achieving asertive and market focused product.
SHOWROOMS The product is shown in a designed space. The showroom is used as a marketing strategy for sales, and also as an inspirational tool for the clients Every year it changes two times, according the concept and trends, suitable for every season.

NYC SHOWROOMS Showrooms at New York City For 4 years in a row, CI JEANS had the opportunity to show a wide range of product and to involve the clients among our products, capacity and a ‘bit’ of Colombian f lavor. Our New York showroom is made every year with the purpose of opening new markets and to be face to face with our clients, working hand by hand to achieve the best product and suitable solutions for our markets.

COLLECTIONS The research and Design team works the whole year to give 2 main collections to our clients, along with mini collections focused onevery client all year around. An inspirational and functional tool used inside and outside the company.
