How LED Neon Lighting Solutions Can Bring Back A Retro Feel to your Theater Sign If there is one thing that New York City's theater district, known simply by the street name Broadway, has taught us, it is that a little flash, pop, and neon signage go a long ways towards adding a bit of pizzazz to an otherwise simple building. An estimated 40 theaters on Broadway use LED neon solutions to attract tourists and theater-goers to their doors. The brilliant thing about neon lighting solutions is that not all neon is created equal. Let's Talk Neon Lighting Neon lighting has been around since Georges Claude, a French engineer, first created the neon light back in 1902. Fast forward 10 years and the first neon sign was sold to a French barber. The United States was a little slower to adopt neon lighting. As with many new things, Los Angeles was the first place to acquire a neon sign within the United States' border. Earle C. Anthony purchased two neon signs for a whopping $24,000 from Georges Claude. The signs were affixed to the outside of his Los Angeles car dealership and simple read "Packard." Like a moth to a flame, the brilliant red lighting fascinated people, as they flocked to the dealership and the neon signs. The 1950's and 1960's saw neon lights take off like a rocket to the moon. From Las Vegas to the streets of New York City, neon lighting was seen just about everywhere that the eye looked. As with many crazes, neon lighting faded slightly from the public eye during the 1970's-1980's, however, it is slowly making its come back as a new retro art form. Ironically, this come back started in 1981 with the opening of the Museum of Neon Art (MONA) in, you guessed it, Los Angeles. MONA has helped to keep the fascination of neon alive; in fact, it even showcases some of the first pieces of neon signage. Opening in 1996, "the Neon Museum [in Las Vegas] is ... dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying, and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, and cultural enrichment." Neon Makes a Retro Come-Back With the invention of LED neon tube light, as well as a multitude of LED neon solutions, the world will soon see neon lighting like never before. Currently there are over 150 colors available as neon lighting. In a world where brands are being customized down to the font used in company emails, neon lighting offers the flexibility to be specifically tailored to your brand. The new LED features offer a green friendly option that is not only longer lasting, but statistically speaking, shines even brighter than older versions. Did you know that LED neon tube light consumes up to 80 percent less energy than traditional neon lighting? Additional retro theater benefits include: Safer construction.  Brighter and longer lasting neon lighting, with less maintenance needed.  No shock or fire hazard, due to reduced heat emissions.  LED neon solutions built to last up to 50,000 hours. 

With those impressive benefits, it's no wonder that Broadway is still lit by various neon signs and flashing LED neon solutions! Address: United States Office Green LED Lighting Solutions LLC. 6230 W Desert Inn Rd. Las Vegas, NV, 89146 Website:
