CIRCUS OZ Location: The Plaza Time: 11.30am and 1.30pm It’s More Fun Live! – Be ready for some Circus Oz action in the Plaza with this fast-paced, highly humorous, frantic, physical comedy based around a trio of circus/stunt people, who amidst incredible acrobatics and daringly stupid feats, desperately try to get a new stunt right. Suitable for all ages. THINKING CAPS CHEMISTRY SHOW Location: The Plaza Time: 2.25pm Prepare to be amazed at the wonders of science! Students from Flinders Thinking CaPS will be presenting a show filled with all sorts of weird and exciting chemical reactions to please children and adults alike. Make sure you are there to see this explosive show. SAMAN DANCERS Location: The Plaza Time: 11.15am Handtastic! Traditional Indonesian dancers will dazzle with this energetic, dynamic and (very coordinated) powerful traditional dance from Aceh. MEM FOX STORYTELLING Location: Mutli-media lounge, The Hub, ground level Time: 2.00pm and 3.00pm Generations have grown up with the works of Mem Fox. Her original contributions to our culture, including the ever-popular Possum Magic, have delighted Australians young and old for decades. A Prominent Flinders University Alumni and Creative, Mem Fox will be on campus to share some of her famous books. Come along to our bean bag filled multimedia room for a reading you and your family won’t forget.

FOOTY FUN Location: Humanities Courtyard Time: 2.00pm As a proud supporter and sponsor of the South Adelaide Football Club (Panthers), Flinders have invited the Panthers to SpringFest. Join current players for ‘specky’ and handball competitions in the heart of Bedford Park campus. Open to all ages. SAVING NEMO – CLOWNFISH NURSERY TOURS Who doesn’t love the little lost clownfish Nemo who featured the ever popular Disney-Pixar animated film Saving Nemo and the recently released sequel Finding Dory? Join Associate Professor Karen Burke da Silva and her team to learn about the conservation work that is happening in one of the world’s most well known clownfish breeding centres, right here at Flinders University


INFLATABLE ZONE Location: Humanities Courtyard Time: All day Located next the funky laneway, our inflatable zone will be a good place for the kids to jump off some energy while mum and dad can grab a coffee and relax. BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR - PALAEONTOLOGIST FOR A DAY Location: Tours will leave from the info booth, ground floor, Student Hub Time: 12:30pm, 1.00pm, 1:30pm and 2.00pm Get a behind the scenes glimpse of our scientists at work, the research laboratories, and vast collections of artefacts and specimens from around the world. Meet our internationally acclaimed experts who have uncovered remarkable fossils of all ages which will be on display in our research areas. See the distinct oldest male and female fossils on Earth! CREATIVE ARTS BAZAAR MARKETS Location: The Plaza Time: All day Come and see just how clever Flinders design students are. Creative Arts students have been working on their best designs to showcase in the Student led markets. THE INVESTIGATOR TRANSFORMED EXHIBITION Location: The Hub, level 2 Time: All day In rural India, people who were previously left to die in hot huts are receiving palliative care for the first time. Robots originally designed as vacuum cleaners are now cleaning up roadside bombs and going inside nuclear powerplants, offering new protection for soldiers and scientists. These are among the previously untold stories of researchers, students and alumni from Flinders University featured in ‘The Investigator Transformed’, launched to mark the University’s 50th Anniversary. HUNGRY? Location: The Hub, Plaza, and Flinders Laneway With so much going on you will need to stop and re-fuel at some point, and do we have a selection for you! Not only will Flinders permanent onsite eateries be open, including Alere Restaurant, The Tavern, Subway, Kutchi Deli Parwana, Urban Paddock, Toly’s Vietnamese, Café Bon Voyage, but a range of stalls will delighting the senses in and around the Plaza.
