Ogassian tile embraces the interplay of pattern, scale and form, creating an understated aesthetic that is softly beautiful and refined. These designs reference history, yet are freshly modern, adding a new dimension to architectural tile. Available in both concrete and ceramics in dimensional or flat tiles, utilizing a variety of exceptional finishes, glazes and colors. Handmade in Los Angeles using modern and traditional crafting techniques.

FACETED HEX Ceramic—Metallic Antique Gold

The FACETED HEX is a faceted hexagon design that creates a random interplay of light, shadow, and reflection. This design is paired with unique metallic glazes and is available only as a custom order.

The PENTA FLORA depicts flowers contained within a pentagonal shaped tile, and when installed, creates horizontal and vertical hexagons. This design invites discovery and can be combined with the PENTA flat tile for added impact and variation.

The OPTIC SERIES is a collection of designs that reveal shapes depending on the viewing orientation. When directly facing the tile, it appears two-dimensional, but as the viewer moves, the third dimension is revealed through the interplay of light and shadow.

The OPTIC 1 reveals spheres within squares with linear groves. This design is the inspiration for the Optic Series.

The OPTIC HEX ELLIPTICAL is an elongated hexagonal tile with linear grooves; protruding ellipses are revealed through light and shadow.

The OPTIC HEX (opposite) reveals undulating grooves over a spherical protrusion contained within a hexagonal tile, while the OPTIC 1 (above) is contained within a square tile.

The JAPANESE GEO—a subtle, powerful, yet geometrically simple tile, is a design that was inspired by historic Japanese textiles.

The GEO WEAVE is a three-dimensional tile that interweaves and interlocks. Improbable in two dimensions, beautiful in three—the interwoven pattern becomes complete as the modules are connected.

The MALIBU pays homage to historic Malibu pottery. This tile distills the historic era in a modern way by subtracting the color and adding scale and depth.

The BOM is a triadic, spherical tile unit that speaks modern and offers uniqueness to flat tile. Nine tile units form one module for ease of installation. This design is only available as a custom order.

Grounded in human touch, the patterns evolve through a subtractive sculptural process that Daniel Ogassian has developed over the years. Daniel sculpts each of the master models and then refines and perfects them until they are ready for production. The traditional craft of tile making process is merged with the latest technological advancements to achieve these unique, yet timeless designs. Made by master craftsmen in Los Angeles.
