General Objec<ve: By the end of the class, Ss will be able to differen<ate Grammar: Simple Present / Present from the simple present from the present con<nuous by answering the Con<nuous task of filling in the blanks with the aid of a website, iden<fy when each its used and mimicking.

Sea1ng Arrangement: Groups of four.

Objec1ve: Ss will be asked to fill in the blank with either present simple or present con<nuous by discussing with their group and choosing the appropriate one. Lead in: Ok guys, now you have to complete these. Procedure: 1. T will greet Ss. 2. T will ask Ss to look at the projec<on. 3. T will ask Ss to work in groups with the persons near them and try to answer them. 4. T will give 7 minutes to answer them. 5. T will elicit answers and thus, evaluate how good Ss are in dealing with this. Link: Ok, guys, is it difficult or easy? I no<ced something. Possible Problems: •

Objec1ve: Ss will recall the use of the tenses by iden<fying the use of each through the examples and coming up with a defini<on on when to use each. Lead in: Do you remember what do we use this for? Procedure: 1. T will ask Ss to see two examples. 2. T will say that there is a difference between the paper strips. 3. T will elicit the answers. 4. T will explain the difference between the two tenses. 5. T will ask Ss to write their own examples and see if they get it right
 5.1 Is Ss get it right, we con<nue to reinforce.
 5.1. If Ss get them wrong, we teach what knowledge or competencies is lacking
 5.1.1 T will ask where’s the problem.
 5.1.2. T will ask the other Ss if they can answers that doubt.
 5.1.3. T will explain thoroughly any and all doubts that Ss had as they answered the last exercise and this li]le task. 6. T will ask again Ss to write three examples. 7. T will check the answers. 8. T will give more input by ac<ng and mimicking situa<ons and explain why we use the tense in the selected situa<on. 9. T will ask them to quickly come up with a defini<on. 10. Ss will share their defini<ons. Link: Ok guys, let’s look at another exercise but now with a game. Sea1ng Arrangement: Groups of four.

Objec1ve: Ss will be asked to the correct tense by applying what they have seen so far and coming up with a decision while playing hot potato. Lead in: Do you know what “hot potato” is, everyone? Procedure: 1. T will ask Ss if they know how to play hot potato. 2. T will elicit answers. 3. If not, T will quickly explain.
 3.1. Ss will have to pass the ball around as quick as possible and music will be played.
 3.2. When the music stops, the S le3 with the ball has to answer. 4. The S with the ball will have to choose the correct tense. 5. T will ask for the instruc<ons. 6. T will start the ac<vity. 7. T will end the class and wish everyone a good day. Possible Problems: • Ss may not get the instruc<ons.
