SALUS-HAUS HERITAGE Salus® has been devoted to the wellbeing of people since 1916 when it was established by Dr. Otto Greither in Germany. The company quickly developed the reputation of having the highest quality, most effective products on the market. The wisdom and love of having a positive impact on people’s health was passed to his son, also named Otto Greither, who still runs Salus Haus today. Headquartered in Bruckmuhl, Germany, Salus-Haus produces over 1,700 products and exports to over 60 countries.
Respect for nature is one of the founding principles of Salus-Haus. It’s because of this respect for nature and the life it provides us all, that they were the first health food company to receive certification from the European Community’s ‘Eco Audit Directive’. It’s not easy to get this directive. It’s only given to companies that protect the environment, implement the necessary systems as outlined by the European Community, and agree to be independently audited at any time.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT The Salus® environmental commitment extends beyond their products. They produce their own hydroelectric power for use in their German facilities. In 2013, approximately 90% of the consumed electric power was generated in the company’s own hydroelectric power plants. The rest of the needed electricity was purchased as green power.

In 2014, Salus-Haus was recognized as a “Climate Protection Company” by the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, for its leading role in terms of climate protection and energy efficiency.
