S O M A R .
„Somar“ is a Science Fiction tale in three chapters, with extensive Concept Art, that brings the action to life in front of the readers‘ eyes. The story is about a fight between two opposing cultures, and the two young protagonists, that are caught in the middle of the conflict‘s escalation. Fighting for their lives, they experience triumphs and defeats, meet new friends and old enemies, who, just like they themselves, struggle to find their way and have to leave their former lives behind in an all-embracing conflict. Before creating the concept art with designs for products, transportation, fashion, characters and architecture, a corporate identity was developed for both cultures, that appear in the story, based on their unique characteristics and features. Things like history, society, politics, environments and many other factors played an important role in this process, seeing as they are fundamental in the evolution of a culture, be it real or fictional. The resulting design concepts not only illustrate the story, but tell a story of their own and breath life and atmosphere into this exciting Science Fiction adventure.

Task: Design a simple kitchentool based on a cubic form. The animation should explain the tool‘s funtions and how to use it.

PALIO DI CERES.
Task: Most modern products hardly ever challenge our physical abilities. We miss haptic and acoustic stimuli and lose our fine motor skills as well as our sense of balance. The question is: How can we add more animation and a physical overvalue to modern products?
THE PALIO DI CERES.
‚PALIO DI CERES’ is an operational concept for a spacecraft. The scenario of this project is a futuristic race through the asteroid belt, in the style of the ‘Palio di Siena’, an ancient horse race in Italy. It is carried out between rivaling planet colonies, located on the larger planetoids of the asteroid belt, such as the dwarf palnet CERES. The concept includes two fully pivotable fusion jet engines on the ship‘s exterior, controlled by the pilot via two hand control devices. The engines move synchronous to these hand controled devices, enabling a very agile flight. The design was inspired by horse racing and the technology of early aeronautics.
