Beautiful Tablescapes
If you’re thinking of having a winter wedding and wanting to get away from the traditional red and green, try a woodland approach. The table has a rustic feel with a burlap table runner and chair sashes; however, the silver vases, silver rimmed plates and the two silver infinity chairs at the ends of the table, gives this tablescape a refined appearance. The birch paper straws, birch table number holder, votive wraps, and antler place card holders embrace the natural elements.
This extra long banquet table was decorated with a jute and burlap inspired linen. The color and texture contrasted beautifully with elegant fruitwood chivaris and apple green satin cushions. The entire table was beautifully decorated with inexpensive heirlooms and vintage inspired items that can be found around many homes, flea markets and antique shops. Flowers were used as accents, rather than the focal point allowing the feel of the tablescape to come through.
Ivory and pastels are often used as the base colors with pops of brighter color for interest. In this case, pink, ivory and silver have a classic feel that is perfect for a vintage tablescape. We love the floral silver water decanters used as centerpieces. The great thing about vintage tables is that you can use all of the mismatched dishes, lace table cloths and silverware that you have either inherited or collected over the years for that eclectic feel.
