However, among active Florida-breds in 2022, C Z Rocket used his $441,000 in earnings during the year to move up to No. 41 in the rankings with $1,952,641. Owned by Altami- ra Racing Stable, Madaket Stables LLC, Gary Barber and Tom Kagele, C Z Rocket finished the year with a second-place finish to Elite Power in the Grade 1 Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint, a race he has now competed in three times and at 9-years-old in 2023, is the richest active Florida-bred. Dublin Fjord Stables LLC, Racepoint Stables, Kevin D. Hilbert and Thomas O’Keefe’s Drafted is next among the weathiest active Florida-bred runners, ranked at No. 136 as of Jan. 28 with $1,175,443.
