FLORIDA-BRED LEADING SIRES
It was a short 2021 season for Anyportinastorm, who made only four starts but won his second Lost in the Fog Stakes at Golden Gate Fields. Anyportinastorm has an affinity for the Lost in the Fog, having won the 2019 edition and finishing third in the 2018 outing. The annual race is named after Florida-bred Lost in the Fog, who earned the 2005 Eclipse Award as champion sprinter.
On April 24, 2021, Anyportinastorm was much the best in the $75,000 Lost in the Fog. He won by two-and-a-half lengths with Baja Sur second and Thanks Mr. Edison third. Fractions for the six-furlong sprint were :22.39. :45.27, :57.31 with Anyportinastorm posting a winning time of 1:09.62.
Racing for Peter Redekop B.C. Ltd. and trained by Peter Miller, Anyportinastorm banked $50,450 on the season. In addition to the two victories in the Lost in the Fog Stakes, Anyportinastorm has also won four other stakes and has career earnings to date of $366,375.
Bred by Sally J. Andersen, Anyportinastorm is a 2014 bay horse by City Zip out of La Defense, by Wild Again. Consigned by de Meric Sales to the 2016 OBS April juvenile sale, Anyportinastorm was a $320,000 purchase by Alistair Roden Bloodstock. He has raced his entire career for Peter Redekop B.C. Ltd. n
