The bill appropriates $750,000 in bond proceeds for the preliminary engineering, design, and property acquisition for a part of the Heartland Trail between the cities of Moorhead and Hawley.

The Chamber supported this bill to begin the construction of the Heartland Trail to support recreational opportunities throughout our region.

INCLUDED IN THE EDUCATION FINANCE BILL AND SIGNED BY GOVERNOR WALZ

This bill authorizes Moorhead Area Public Schools to permanently transfer up to $5,000,000 from their general fund’s long-term facilities maintenance reserve account to their general fund’s operating capital account.

THE CHAMBER SUPPORTED THIS BILL

The Chamber supported this bill to provide Moorhead Area Public Schools with the ability to transfer funds to best meet the needs of the district.
