With Self-Adhesive Foam Board, Mounting Photos is Quick & Easy

Often, those beautiful pieces of artwork, prints, and posters exhibited in shops and fairs fascinate us, and many of us want to frame them to decorate our homes. Captivated by the beauty and appeal of the artwork, we buy them, but only find them stacked in cupboards for months collecting nothing but dust. However, with self-adhesive foam boards, mounting those stunning artworks and decorating the walls of your home is easier. This material is very convenient to work with and lets you take charge of your photo mounting to get those lovely posters, photos, and paintings on the walls to decorate your home.

Self-adhesive foam board is a durable paper faced sheet making the substrate an excellent choice for mounting pictures and works of art. The material is very convenient to work with and is available at foamboardsource.com. Here are a few easy steps to mount your favorite artwork and decorate your home:

ďƒź Once you have purchased a self-adhesive foam board of your required thickness (the substrate is available in a variety of thicknesses), you need to cut the material to your desired shape. By using the right cutting tools, you will be able to get the perfect size and shape with ease.

 After cutting the material to the desired shape and size, gently peel back the adhesive liner a couple of inches and slowly place your print onto the exposed adhesive. Carefully align the top and sides of the print onto the board, as it will help get a clean finish.  When you apply pressure to your print, always press in one direction to eliminate the air bubbles. Pull up the release liner a little more and continue to apply the artwork to the board.  As you have the initial one or two inches down, slowly peel back some more of the release liner and apply the print in the same fashion. Make sure to apply pressure and move out the air.  If any small bubbles appear when you are done, just use a pin and poke a hole in the center of it. It will help get rid of any small bubbles. By following these steps, you can easily mount photos and adorn the walls of your home. When doing a large print, it would certainly help to have someone else there to hold the print above the sheet as you peel back the release liner and apply it to the board.
