Amongst all the decorating and shopping and attending of holiday parties, I always try to remind myself of the meaning of the season and to enjoy making new memories with family. Anyone that reads my letters regularly knows that my definition of “family” isn’t traditional. The man I call “Dad” is technically my ex-stepfather. However, he is the only father I have ever known. Even though he isn’t related to me by blood, or now even by marriage to my mother, he is still my Dad and my son’s grandfather. Paul and Dylan’s own relationship is much the same. Even though Paul is not his biological father, he has been the little league coach, helped with the homework, and helped to make him into the wonderful young man he is becoming. I could go on and on. When I look at some of the most treasured relationships in my life and the people I consider to be my family, only a few of them are related to me by blood. With this in mind, I was especially touched by this month’s feature story on the Andrews’ family. I actually am friends with Mark on Facebook and followed his journey from the time they left Florida to travel to the Phillipines to meet their new sons and bring them home. I have continued to follow the ups and downs that have followed and must admit, often laugh at Mark’s posts as he has navigated his way through his new role as a Dad. I finally got to meet Ferds and Caloy when working on this article! They are sweet, polite, and handsome. It was a pleasure to spend some time with them and get a glimpse into their home and family. Tavares Chamber of Commerce joined in celebrating with the Vann Gannaway family as they celebrated their 25th year of service to the Tavares area, Wednesday, November 16. Chip Vann Gannaway shared with those gathered that the dealership continues to be a “family affair” since the opening day. Vice President of Chevrolet was on hand to present awards to the Vann Gannaway family in recognition of their dedicated hard work over the years. Tavares Chamber of Commerce, held the first ever “Black Wednesday” in Tavares at their monthly Business Luncheon. Held the fourth Wednesday each month in the Tavares Civic Center, the luncheon provides a mid-day break and an excellent opportunity to network with likeminded business people. Promoting a shop local campaign “Keep it Simple, Keep it Here”, black Wednesday offered lunch goers with an opportunity to kick off their Holiday shopping. Lake County Library System libraries participated in “Snapshot: A Day in the Life of Florida Libraries” during the week of November 5, 2011. This year’s theme, “Get Caught Reading”, tells the story of the library’s value to the community. Libraries collected data and comments. This state-wide project coordinated by The Florida Library Association, in partnership with the State Library and Archives of Florida, illustrates the importance of libraries for Florida’s citizens through collection of statistics, stories and photographs documenting the fact that libraries continue to be relevant and essential to the community. For the sixth year, O’Keefe’s Irish Pub in downtown Tavares hosted their annual Christmas Party and Toy Drive on Sunday, December 4th. crowds and also a juggler displaying an outstanding talent. He wowed the crowd with fire juggling which brought huge applause.

n Friday evening, November25th, the Leesburg Partnership presented the Christmas Stroll, encouraging adults and children alike to come downtown and share in the Christmas spirit.

What fun it was, browsing all of the Main Street and side street stores and restaurants, all decorated beautifully for the season, all the while snow fell on the crowd.

The weather cooperated with balmy temperatures to make this event even more fun and brought out huge crowds to see the petting zoo from Uncle Donald’s Farm as well as the giant snow slide. There was an entertainer working with children playing the Kazoo and further down the street was a climbing wall with lots of activity.

The synchronized tree lighting awed the crowd as the lights twinkled to Christmas Carols. Santa charmed the children and heard each and every one of their wishes. To add to the fun, there was a variety of foods and drinks to satisfy the hungry crowd. It was truly an evening with something for everyone and the smiles told the tale of the fun of “Christmas Strolling” in downtown Leesburg.

LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN It is hard to believe that my year as Board Chairman is coming to an end. The year, with all its successes and challenges, has gone by quickly. As I noted in January, we looked to 2011 as being a positive turning

point for businesses and our economy. We have seen signs within our Chamber that we are turning the corner. Our membership has stabilized this year and our retention rate has seen marked improvement. In addition, nearly 175 new members will have joined our South Lake Chamber of Commerce by year end. We also have seen a number of successes in the Public Policy and Economic Development arena. The Chamber continues to serve as a community leader on issues like local redistricting and the development of a Business Incubator in South Lake, We have jointly hosted a south Lake Summit on water resources with the St. John’s River Water Management District, and facilitated three local candidate forums in Groveland, Mascotte and Minneola in partnership with the Daily Commercial and South Lake Press. Our Education Committee worked to develop enhanced relationships between our schools and the business community and was a voice on a variety of issues including school uniforms, transportation logistics in the area of the new Lake Minneola High and supported the AVID program for middle and high school students looking to pursue a future college experience. We successfully established a new Sports and Tourism Committee that has worked closely with the Lake County Tourism and Economic Development Department along with South Lake cities and businesses to create an inventory of our diverse sports/tourism assets. The goal in coming years is improved communication and coordination of events and to assist visitors coming here for work, fun, or simple relaxation. Our major Signature Events including our Annual Gala, Howard Stockton Memorial Golf Outing, Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, and lastly our new Taste of South Lake event that attracted nearly 900 attendees, were all tremendous successes. We continue to be THE organization to create and maintain opportunities for networking and community/business engagement in south Lake

I am also pleased to report that after several years of dedicated effort, we have finalized a plan to continue our 40 plus year partnership the City of Clermont and provide management services for a new community center on Montrose Street that will also house our headquarters. Through this partnership we continue to provide information related to opportunities in south Lake County for business development and business relocation. The bottom line of all that this organization represents is a passionate focus on the success of the entire business community. We have focused on Member First during this year and without fail we have supported each other. Each BAH that is well attended, each Breakfast that provides insight, each issue for which we provide advocacy , each networking opportunity that is offered could not happen without the dedication of the members of this Chamber, the amazing volunteers and the tremendous and creative staff that are truly tireless in their efforts. This Chamber is well positioned to address the issues of the day into 2012 and beyond. I congratulate Dr. Kasey Kesselring, Headmaster of Montverde Academy as he assumes the role as Chairman. Let us all continue to proudly support the efforts of our Chamber of Commerce. Lastly, I thank you for affording me the opportunity to serve this organization. It has been a rewarding experience. Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership (I.F.) announced that 12-year-old Kayla Bowers, a sixth-grade student at East Ridge Middle School in Clermont, won the 26th annual Red Ribbon Week’s contest “It’s Up to Me to be Drug Free.” The nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention campaign reaches more than 6,000 schools throughout Florida every year, and 80 million people nationwide.

Students from throughout the state entered the contest by decorating their homes together with their parents - mailboxes, front doors and fences. Parents uploaded photos to I.F.’s website and Facebook page, then friends and family voted and the entries with the most votes won (throughout six regions in Florida). “The $1,000 gift to our school from Informed Families comes at a crucial time, and we are very appreciative at East Ridge Middle School,” said Principal Charles McDaniel. Kayla’s mother, Lisa Bowers, adds: “This really encouraged parent involvement and created the opportunity to have this dialogue at home about such an important issue for families. Parents from throughout our neighborhood were also informed, and the message spread everywhere.”

National Training Center Fast Lane Aquatics star swimmer, Lysistrati “Lysi” Halkides, held her college signing at the NTC on November 17th. Halkides committed to Purdue University, where she was offered a full scholarship for swimming. She also had offers and interest from the University of Florida, Florida State University and the University of Alabama. Halkides’ strongest event is the women’s 200 individual medley (IM). Being of Greek decent, Halkides’ has been competing for Greece in international competitions. This past summer she won four events in the Greek Nationals. Her next big competition is the United States Nationals in December 2011, which will be held in Atlanta. She will compete in the Greek Olympic Trials in May of 2012 to attempt to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Halkides has been training with the NTC Fast Lane Swim Team since the team formed in 2005 and has been training under head coach Alec Rukosuev for nine years.

he tables are set and the President and First Lady are ready to welcome their guests for the holidays. If you didn’t know better, you might think you were looking at the real thing, but right here in Clermont, you can see an exact replica of the White House, all decked out for the holidays, at the President’s Hall of Fame. As Ronald Reagan said, what we have here is “A National Treasure.” For over 40 years, visitors and collectors have come to see this display of exquisite, unique and one of a kind displays. Earlier this year, the White House exhibit was welcomed back to the museum after being on the road for 15 years. The theme for the 2011 holiday season at the White House is “Shine, Give, Share” which pays tribute to our troops, veterans, and their families. This year the State Dining Room features a gingerbread house made with gingerbread, chocolate and marzipan. The Blue Room is the official room of the White House Christmas tree, which this year is a

breathtaking 20 foot fir from Wisconsin. The tree at the little White House, true to its 1’= 1” scale, stands 20 inches tall, almost reaching the ceiling of the Blue Room. The creators of the White House exhibit, John and Jan Zweifel, launched Christmas with a ribbon cutting on November 16th and also received an official proclamation from Clermont Mayor pro-tem Ray Goodgame which named that day President’s Hall of Fame Day in Clermont, in celebration of the museum’s 50-year anniversary and return of the miniature White House earlier this year. Don’t miss Christmas at the White House this holiday season. It’s a real treat for all ages. The Presidents Hall of Fame is located at 123 North Highway 27 in Clermont. Faith, Friends, and Facebook Unites a Family Article by Heather Graham and Photos by Bonnie Whicher

amilies come in all forms and, more often than not, they are created through a bond of love, not blood. My own life has certainly taught me this lesson. In meeting Mark and Karla Andrews, as well as their two new sons, Fernando and Carlos (nicknames Ferds and Caloy), I was touched by their story and wanted my readers to meet them as well.

Mark and Karla had always wanted and planned on having children. They were a stable, happily married couple with a home and a dog, and actively involved in the Lake County community. Ideal, really… and ready to be a family. As time went on, they discussed adoption as an option, but had never really pursued that avenue. However, friends, Facebook, and faith in God were about to intervene. Mark recalls the life changing day it began, “Our adoption of the boys began with a Facebook interaction with two friends who did not even know each other. Our friend Jeanne sent me a Facebook message on Ash Wednesday 2009, asking how she could pray

for Karla and me. I typed and then deleted some work related things, and then sent her the answer that our biggest prayer request was that we could start a family. Less than 60 seconds later another friend, Pam, posted something on my wall asking me if Karla and I had ever considered adoption.” This was too powerful for them to consider it a coincidence and Mark and Karla recognized this as the work of their Lord and took their first steps on what would be a long journey, filled with many obstacles and frustrations along the way, but to a final destination which would change their lives forever. Their Facebook friend, Pam is closely

involved in a program which helps older kids in the Philippines get adopted. After a pending adoption fell through for two brothers, she thought of Mark and Karla. She knew the personalities of the two boys, which were ages 10 and 9 at this point, and thought they would be a good match for the Andrews. Trusting their friend, as well as this being God’s plan for them, Mark and Karla began the adoption process to bring home their two new sons. On On Wednesday February 25th 2009 they got their first look at their boys in a picture. It would be 699 days until they got to meet them face to face when they went to pick them up in the Philippines.

After a twenty-four hour flight to Manila, the Capital of the Philippines, Mark and Karla were united in person with Ferds and Caloy at their orphanage “The House of Refuge.” After a meal and a traditional ceremony, the boys said good-bye to their home of many years before the four of them were driven to the hotel. “Talk about diving into the deep end of the parenting pool,” Mark recalls with laughter. Here they are in hotel in a foreign country, with two new sons who don’t speak English! However, they weren’t in that hotel long before all of us following them on Facebook were reading Mark’s excited posts about their new family interacting, with hugs, rough

Spotlight » the Andrews housing, and video games! Upon returning home, the boys were welcomed by family, friends, and the community as they began to acclimate into their new life and family. They started school and their English continues to improve every day. Mark is also learning the boys’ native language, Tagalog, in order to help communicate with them, as well as to encourage them to embrace their heritage. They have learned to prepare and enjoy a variety of traditional Filipino dishes as well. While taking on two boys at the same time had originally been an intimidating prospect for Mark and Karla, they now look back and see the advantages. The boys have a language partner to improve their English and remember their Tagalog, they would have a natural playmate and companion to ease the transition into life in America. There continues to be bumps along the road, as with any parenting. Mark and Karla

have to work hard every day to overcome the painful experiences of the boys’ past. Trusting in the love and permanence of their new family is often difficult for Ferds and Caloy. Mark and Karla overcome this by demonstrating unconditional love and the meaning of family. For Mark and Karla, date night has been happily traded for family night. “We don’t do a lot of the “fun” things we used to do, but we have been happy to trade them for family movie nights, bingo games around the dining room table and fixing what seems to be an endless supply of flat bike tires and skinned knees.” As for Ferds and Caloy, they are both doing well in school and have made many new friends. Ferds instantly bonded with the Andrews dog, Daisy, and she remains his best friend! In fact, when I asked Ferds what his favorite thing was about his new home, his eyes quickly darted to his four-legged friend

and the answer, “Daisy” came easily. Typical teenage boys, they both love playing video games, learning and performing magic tricks, riding their bikes, watching movies, and playing basketball. Ferds (now twelve) just earned his yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do and Caloy (now eleven) was on the swim team at the Y.M.C.A. The family is now excitedly preparing for their first Christmas together as a family. Marks says, “I’d like to tell you there was some moment of clarity when Karla and I looked at each other and said “It’s going to be OK, we’re ready for this!” It never happened. We just moved forward a day at time, and a mile at a time until the morning we stepped into the orphanage and saw their faces! The only thing we knew was that we would be jumping off a cliff into an adventure that none of us were ready for, but all of us were asking for.”

hat question in and of itself can be tricky. What does it take to be all that you can be in sport and exercise? The critical reality is that we are not hostage to some naturally granted level of talent. We can make ourselves what we will. What is it that you desire? More deliberate practice equals better performance. Tons of it equals great performance. That’s just it, if you talk to all of the greatest cyclists, runners, water sport athletes, ball players and ask them why they are great, they usually will say that they have had success because of their dedication, because of doing the same thing over and over and over again. However, many of them believe that they could be better. How might this happen? Simple. More practice, more time, more focus, more of any and all variables that can improve their skill set. Larry Bird said, “A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.” Steve Prefontaine said, “To give any less than your best is to sacrifice a gift.” What do you think? Are you doing all that you can do?

To be a great athlete, it takes more than you do, more than you think you can do, more than maybe you should even do and most importantly more than “they do.” It takes more than just what you think you need to do. If you are a basketball player; it takes more than shooting the ball, if you are a water skier; it takes more than riding behind the boat; if you are a 5k runner; it takes more than slow jogging. Success in sport and exercise is the whole body, mind, and soul working together. It is being a “24-hour” athlete. All of the elements fit together and influence one another. According to Fortune Magazine, research now shows that the lack of natural talent is irrelevant to great success. It doesn’t really take a special team, a special shoe, a special friend, or a special program… it takes an individual that is special. Somebody that is willing to dedicate everything that they have and that they are to being the best. It is actually not that complicated – but remember your efforts are worthless without one more requirement: Do it regularly, not sporadically. “I look for players with character, players that I can trust when we’re not together

Is that who you are? You can only control the effort you are putting into being great. If you want to be the best, you have to do more and be more dedicated than those who are already great. Maybe greatness is not for everyone. Quite possibly, it is too demanding. It just might take more than you are able to give. Greatness is not just for a select few. State, 2007, interpreted the “Stand Your Ground” law as placing “no duty on the person to avoid or retreat from danger, so long as that person is not engaged in an unlawful activity and is located in a place where he or she has a right to be.” I always recommend avoiding taking matters into one’s own hands as that is something left better off to the professionals. However, “a person is justified in using deadly force if he or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony.” (Fla. s an attorney I have often been confronted with the question, “Can I shoot?” If I am inside my house and someone breaks in can I shoot them? If I am sitting in my car and someone tries to take my car can I shoot them? If I am walking in public and someone tries to rob me can I shoot them? The answer seems simple since the Florida Legislature enacted the “Immunity from Criminal Prosecution and Civil Action for Justifiable Use of Force” law in October of 2005, commonly referred to as part of the “Stand Your Ground” law. (Fla. Stat. § 776.032). The “Stand Your Ground” law substantially amended prior law and eliminated the duty to retreat before using deadly force.

Florida Statute § 776.013, entitled “Home protection; use of deadly force; presumption of fear of death or great bodily harm,” states that a person is presumed to have the reasonable fear necessary to use deadly force if the person against whom the deadly force was directed was unlawfully and forcefully entering or had entered specified areas, including a dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle, “or if the person had removed or was attempting to remove another person against [his or her] will” from these areas. For the presumption to apply, the statute also requires that the person who used the deadly force “knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful

a gun demanding your money and you are in fear of your life. Based on the above Florida Statutes, and assuming that you have the proper permits to carry a gun, you can defend yourself with deadly force. Now that does not mean that you will not be arrested and charged with a crime. Law enforcement has a duty to investigate all killings, and make arrests or refer the case to the prosecutor. Even if you believe that you are following the law to a tee, you could end up having to defend yourself twice. So, it comes down to a matter of interpretation and the exact facts that are involved on a case by case basis. While I may not give an exact answer to the question of “Can I shoot,” I can provide the information on the law to allow someone to make a decision. It will come down to a split second decision that of which the outcome will never change once the trigger is pulled. Law enforcement officers have many hours of training on use of deadly force; leave it to them if you can. Managing Your Investments Hi Jeff, I went through a messy divorce two years ago and am still trying to complete my recovery. My ex was granted half of my 401K. Now I am in my early 50’s and feel I am going to have to work for ever! I also ended up with a considerable amount of debt. I feel that I need to pay off that credit card debt before I look at investment options or even increase my contributions to my retirement plan. I am frustrated and just don’t even know where to begin! What do you advise? Bill- Tavares Hi Bill, I am sorry about your divorce. It changes your life but you can make it through it. Consider theses steps. Minimize your 401 K contribution to free up more money to tackle the debt. Since your debt is made up of charge cards, take the smallest one and pay it off first by lowering the payments on the others to the minimum and putting the difference on the smallest card. You will be able to pay it off sooner. When you have it paid off it will do two things for you: give you a sense of accomplishment and more money to attack the next smallest card. Repeat the process on the next card and keep going until they are all gone. As you continue this process it will free up more money to pay off the larger debts. PS, don’t put anymore debt on the cards. When the debt is gone put as much as you can in your retirement plan. Try to maximize your employers match. Their match is like getting an investment return. I would advise you to work with an advisor who is knowledgeable and can provide investment strategies for your personal situation. This will enable you to work towards a comfortable retirement and balance your investment risk to your comfort level. Jeff Stephan

rom the moment you leave the alleyway to step inside the award winning restaurant you know you have crossed a threshold into something special. The Goblin Market’s ambiance alone is enough to intrique. With book lined walls giving it a cozy, library feel, mixed with an eclectic mix of homey accents, all displayed under low, romantic lighting, it’s easy to see why The Goblin has been a favorite of Mount Dora residents and visitors for the past fifteen years. Owners Vince and Janis Guzinski opened The Goblin Market in 1996 after discovering Mount Dora and falling in love with the quaint feel of the town. The restaurant started out small, with only eleven tables. They were able to buy the adjoining buildings and expand in 2001, now offering seating for 85, a lounge, and two outdoor areas. All of the dishes served up at The Goblin Market are created and executed by their talented culinary team, which is led by Head Chef, Brenton Hillman, who has been in the kitchen at Goblin for seven years and brings his Le Cordon Bleu training to the table with him, and Sous Chef Adam Cuevas, who has been a part of The Goblin family for six years. The entire team collaborates on the menu items and works together to develop the high-quality dishes the restaurant is renowned for.

The Goblin Market is currently running three different menus; Lunch, Lighter Fare, and Dinner. Lunch offers a creative array of soups, salads, and sandwiches and wraps. The Lighter Fare menu offers diners a selection of smaller, lighter options, and also includes a “Small Plates” section which are full meals in smaller portions. This menu is available in the lounge nightly and in the dining room during the week. Their impressive Dinner menu includes delicious gourmet selections such as a New Zealand Rack of Lamb, or Sunflower Chicken Saute, or a Sole Roulade. One of their most popular appetizers on The Goblin Market’s menu is their Fried Green Tomatoes. Chef Hillman describes this as, “Not your typical fried green tomatoes,” and he is not kidding. When you order this at The Goblin, you get fresh green tomatoes which are thinly sliced and coated in panko bread crumbs and fried. They then layer the crispy slices with creamy goat cheese before finishing it off with a smoky tomatillo bacon drizzle and garnish with additional bacon. The tart, crispy tomatoes, combined with the richness of the goat cheese and the punch of the bacon dressing results in a party in your mouth! This is an appetizer which will leave you coming back for more! Even a simple salad at The Goblin Market is kicked up to a higher standard, delighting the eyes as well as the taste buds. The Apple

Walnut Spinach Salad debuts a generous sized bed of bright green spinach leaves topped with a colorful assortment of apple slices, walnuts, raisins, sun-dried cranberries, mushrooms, eggs, and alfalfa sprouts. The salad is served with their freshly made Honey Mustard dressing, which is smooth and creamy and an absolutely perfect compliment. For a classic dinner choice, the Chef recommends the Baked Chicken la Grande. This tender quarter roasted chicken breast is stuffed with a compilation of apricots, almonds, Grand Marnier, and sausage stuffing before baked to tender, juicy perfection before being topped with a fresh berry coulis, created from a blend of seasonal berries. The chicken is paired with a starch and vegetable, which can vary nightly. ith a record number of participants, a total of five new participants, Chinese Auction items too numerous to mention and a extraordinary number of attendees; the 7th annual Taste of Tavares was an astounding success, by any measure!

Returning contestants included ALS’S Dockside/Top Shelf, Café Basil, Honey Baked Ham, Pressed for Time Café, and Simply Desserts (now Café Carpe Diem). New challengers included Baytree Café, Butch’s Italian Grill, Hurricane Dockside Grill, Tavares High Bulldawg Café and Winn Dixie Deli. Tavares High School Culinary Department enticed the crowd with an aromatic scent that pulled them to the Bulldawg Café table. Chef Herrington and his students pleased everyone with their succulent Sliders; winning The Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice for Best Entrée. Winn Dixie Deli was another first time competitor who wowed the crowd with four selections from their new Wing Bar. Steve Roe and his crew presented the wings with a football themed presentation, winning the People’s Choice for Best Appetizer. The Judges favored Café Basil’s Sweet Potato Salad for their choice of Best Appetizer of the evening. People who claimed they did not like sweet potato, raved about Howard Leslie’s creation afterwards. With the appetizers and entrees chosen, that left everyone’s favorite … dessert. First time contender, Baytree Café walked away

with the Judges choice for Best Dessert with their awesome Orange-Chocolate Ganache. Chef Travis and Sheryl Klein presented their dessert with an appropriate autumn themed display. Ze Carter and crew defended their crown as repeat People’s Choice Award for Best Dessert. Café Carpe Diem impressed the people with their Carmel Cake. The melt-in-your-mouth delicacy won the hearts and tummies of the People. AL’S Dockside/Top Shelf took home the honors of Best Booth Presentation. Rodger Kooser introduced the attendees to a delicious fish selection from his Top Shelf. Pressed for Time earned the Chamber Choice Award for their awesome Greek Salad. It impressed people so well that Zac Ward ran out of his creation.Rich Moulton and his sister Viki Wellman, of Butch’s Italian Delights, provided the crowd with a timely presentation of turkey dinner. Donnie Covey and his wife Aubrey, of HoneyBaked Ham, served up a delicious sample of their ham. Dave Henson, of Hurricane Dockside Grill, surprised the audience with a scrumptious cake from their menu. Maggies Attic was on hand providing wine to complete the evening for the culinary aficionados Congratulations to all the participants. Thank you to the unsung heroes who make such an event happen. nce again, the Leesburg Partnership created a superb event on Friday night November 19th. The annual Craft Beer, Wine, & Food Festival offered up, “something for everyone.”

Just entering the gardens was an experience. The City of Leesburg gave everyone a sneak peek at the Christmas lights display which was resplendent and created a glorious setting for the evening. In addition, the weather cooperated with a cool but comfortable temperature. The festival offered up 28 booths for dining and drinking pleasure. Many of the Craft Beers were served up by Florida Micro-breweries. We experienced, Key West Ale by Florida Beer Company in Melbourne, FL and Effinheimer Ale from Lagniappe Brewing Co. from Minneola. Other beers from around the U.S. and even some from Germany and Hawaii were presented. The food was what you would expect from many local eateries in the Leesburg area. There was Lobster and Pasta from Mission Inn, Barbecue from Oakwood Smokehouse,

a fruit offering by Edible Arrangements, delectable sweets from Cupcake Time Café, Raw Oysters from Magnolia Oyster Bar. grilled steak from Levi’s Bistro, scrumptious Pumpkin Bread from The Florida Porch, home town cooking from Main Street Diner, divine chicken wings from Cousin Vinnie’s World Famous Chicken Wings, fine dining presented by Vic’s Embers and exquisite Italian Food by Red Sauce Catering. If beer was not your desire, Two Old Hags Wine Shop could take care of your thirst. Wine was also available at Andersen’s Small Engine Repair and at Style Magazine’s booth. The variety allowed any discerning wine connoisseur to enjoy the evening. The Christmas lights were fabulous, the weather divine, the food, Craft Beers and Wines were delicious, and the entertainment by Jimi Pappas, sponsored by Brent C.
