Hydrogen Water
By Focus Omaha Hydrogen Water. What?
Regular water has a very low concentration of hydrogen. Not the case with hydrogen water, as you might suspect from the name. It includes added molecular hydrogen, or “diatomic hydrogen,” which is just another way of saying molecular hydrogen.
%HQHĆWV
It’s said to have antioxidant properties, help reduce lactic acid, help with recovery, slow aging and give you energy. I can personally speak for the energy part, as I have tried it and it does seem to give me a boost. But it also costs an average of $3.99 for about one pint at Jane’s Health Food Market. It also is normally carried at No Name Nutrition, although they were out at the time of this publication.
+LVWRU\
Hydrogen water is not a new trend. It’s been around since the 1960’s and was used in Japan for everything from baths to drinks. Not too long ago it was also approved by Japan’s Health Ministry to be used in saline IVs to aid in treatments for dehydration to infections. Studies also have shown that those that bathed in hydrogen-enriched water for a period showed signiĆcant improvement in neck wrinkles compared to those who didn’t.
18 Focus | August 30 - September 5 | Volume 1 Issue 36
Another thing to keep in mind is that once you open it, the hydrogen will immediately start to decrease, so you must make sure to drink it expeditiously to avoid drinking a very expensive pint of normal water. Until next week, Stay healthy Omaha!

Hotel Desperado – Eagles Music Live
electric guitars plus bass; Dan Korb on electric and acoustic guitars; Dave Bontrager who plays piano; and TiP Ranard on bass and electric guitar
By Andy Roberts
Honestly given the vocal abilities that are reTuired as well as the versatility of the Paterial there are easier bands to cover than the Eagles
WelcoPe Hotel Desperado As you Pight guess froP the naPe the latest entry into the local tribute band sweepstakes features the Pusic of the Eagles
“We all sing of course you have to ĂŤ said Ehrig pointing to the incredible harPonies that have to be produced for a band to properly play the Eagles
So why did they decide to do it" “We’re all seasoned Pusicians we’ve played in bands forever and the Eagles are super challenging ĂŤ Ehrig said “Honestly it was Dan’s idea ĂŤ
2ne of the Post successful bands in Pusic history the Eagles have a Pyriad of fans but also a few detractors for So Korb called Ranard who said he whatever reason Mark the Ćve PePwas interested and he then called bers of Hotel Desperado as fans and Ehrig expect theP to have a lot of success The PePbers of Hotel Desperado are -erePy Ehrig on druPs and guitar; Chuck Tostenson on acoustic and
“And I was interested ĂŤ he stated “How do you get better than the Eagles catalog"ĂŤ There is plenty of strong Paterial to consider for the playlist
PePbers have roles in which they are dedicated to Ćlling the shoes and voice of an Eagle
“I think that kind of laid a little foundation ĂŤ he stated and pointed out that Korb had it in Pind
“That’s one thing that is kind of uniTue to this group ĂŤ Ehrig pointed out Korb sings the -oe Walsh stuff Ehrig does the Don Henley songs and Tostenson does the *lenn Frey songs while Ranard handles TiPothy B SchPitt and Randy Meisner – the Eagles bass players
Hotel Desperado also will do soPe solo Paterial by the PePbers of the Eagles such as -oe Walsh songs and Don Henley Paterial
The band is still in the early stages of building an audience so Hotel Desperado played live on The Keg radio station in -uly to proPote a show in Council Bluffs The band will be on KFAB during the Scott Vorhees show at about Friday Porning
“It’s been a lot of work ĂŤ
Maybe it’s in their blood as three of the guys are still in Recaptured the -ourney tribute band Ehrig said
For Pore inforPation look on Facebook https www facebook coP hoteldesperadooPaha "fref ts
Ehrig said it has been alPost two years since Korb Ćrst called hiP about the project With all of theP playing on other Pusical projects they’ve There is no player identity for Bontrag- been trying to get in at least one joint er Ehrig said rehearsal per week 1ow that things are to a point where they can perforP “He doesn’t really have an Eagle role they focus rehearsal tiPe on getting he Ćlls in a lot of cracks ĂŤ ready for the shows
That has included reviewing live records by the Eagles and checking out perforPances on YouTube to see “You look at their greatest hits albuP how best they can produce the studio and you pretty Puch have to play all sound in a live situation Many of the songs on there tiPeless really ĂŤ the songs are highly layered and not In addition to the vocals lead and har- A coPPent posted on the band’s Face- soPething Ćve Pusicians can do live But don’t think Hotel Desperado isn’t Pony the Pusic can be instruPentally book page reads in part “I aP blown away!!
