extravagant high-speed race scenes, and I was slightly disappointed that we didn’t see one (or both) of two things 1 Cipher and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) in a Ćght scene 2 Cipher behind the wheel
The Fate of the Furious By Teka Marie The Fate of the Furious (F8) is the highly anticipated eighth installment of the action-packed Fast & Furious franchise and we’re hoping it’s not the last While the newly married Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) enjoy their honeymoon in Cuba, a mysterious woman (Cipher Charlize Theron) extorts Dom into the ultimate state of betrayal While Dom seems to have turned his back on his family, Mr Nobody (Kurt Russell) assembles the team in effort to Ćnally bring him back and take down Cipher
family Naturally, we do see that a tribute to Paul Walker was included and you will need a tissue The dynamic of this all-star cast keeps you entertained throughout all the action Roman (Tyrese *ibson) is predictable with his gullibility and thuggish wit as he keeps movie goers laughing Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) beef and award us with a Ćght seTuence that might be unrealistic, but it was exhilarating and nothing short of amazing Shaw’s contribution to the team was necessary because of the tension behind his killing Han (in Tokyo Drift), and he is also seeking revenge on Cipher Plus, we are talking about a prison Ćght scene between Shaw and Hobbs
I suppose Cipher is illustrated as an untraceable terroristic criminal so it is no surprise that we don’t see her behind the wheel but you must admit you were thinking it too And, a good old fashion girl Ćght between Letty and Cipher gold (4 out 5 stars) Up Next: Unforgettable among the top 10 funniest Ćlms of all time The Ćlm has become a cult classic with a worldwide following, and its success started the Naked *un Ćlm Film historian Bruce Crawford has series and TV series and also restarted announced the Ćlm to be presented the careers of the late Leslie Nielsen at his 40th Tribute to Classic Films and Robert Stack and Lloyd Bridges will be the 1980 comedy classic, êAIRPLANE ë The Ćlm will be screened Tickets for the event are 23 and can be purchased at the customer service on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 7 pm at the beautiful Joslyn Art Museum 2200 counters of all Omaha-area Hy-Vee food stores and go on sale now Dodge St Omaha, Nebraska Special Proceeds will beneĆt the Nebraska guest will be the star of the Ćlm Robert Kidney Association For more Hays, who played Capt Ted Striker, information call (402) 932-7200 or The American Film Institute lists it visit www omahaĆlmevent com

A few newcomers give this franchise a more James Bond feel while this After the untimely death of Paul episode continues to raise the bar Walker (midway through production of We may not accept Eric Reisner the seventh Ćlm), Furious fans eagerly Little Nobody (Scott Eastwood) as a anticipated the decision of another replacement for Brian O’Conner, but installment in the popular franchise he might be able to temporarily Ćll the Once the rumors were conĆrmed to void be true, we wondered where could the writers possibly take the story Finally revealing the identity of Cipher without one of its main characters and adding several plot twists that Well, F8 Ćlmmakers managed to make [you never see coming] brings each it happen and they triumphed The episode together Let’s also point out storyline is simple, but the thrilling that Theron comes with a great deal action scenes pick up where the plot is of sexy-badassery that we couldn’t lacking In the end, we’re reminded of expect from anyone else On the other why this franchise is still going strong; hand, this franchise revolves around

Stylebook Virtual Closet By Cass Butler Have you ever thought about taking an inventory of your closet and putting all of its contents in the palm of your hand? If so, have I got the app for you! Stylebook allows you to take photos of everything in your closet and import them into your personal and virtual closet 7his is by far the most difĆcult part of the process, I will not kid you If you never met a sale you didn’t like and have more clothes than you can stand, this is going to take some time Still I encourage you to just take the time and do it You will understand why this is a good idea by the time we get through this article You will have to take a picture of each piece of clothing, jewelry, shoes, lipstick, nail polish - whatever, you want to import into the app 7he upside is you can use this time as an honest moment of rećection 'ecide what you really want to keep, take a photo of and import it or free yourself of items you know you are long overdue to part with %onus for you depending on how new some of your items are, you can download photos of the pieces online and import them directly into the app It is a huge timesaver because you don’t have to lay each piece out “just so” to snap a pic to import it into Stylebook
7he app will make it easy on you If you lay down a white sheet to take your pictures, and the item you are importing is not white, Stylebook will erase the background for you Otherwise you do have to edit your images somewhat with the tools within their app Once your virtual closet is loaded by category (you can also create your own categories (like short-sleeve sweater), you can begin creating collages of your outĆt ideas called “looks ” 1ame the looks whatever makes sense to you, like ‘street style,’ ‘date night,’ ‘wedding ideas,’ etc You can visually mix-andmatch pieces within the app to play with outĆt ideas you may have never imagined 3lan your outĆts without ever making a mess of your room or your bed 7his is ah-mazing if you are especially tight on space What I love about this app is you can create and play with your closet during your downtime like when you’re stuck in long lines, at games, when you’re binging 1etćix - whenever! It is hard to decide the best feature of this app, yet another extremely amazing feature is the ability to save your outĆt ideas to the app’s calendar 7alk about /(V(/S! If you are a planner or Ćnd yourself scrambling in the mornings trying to Ćgure out what you want to wear, this should make you so excited! What a time-saver and it’s so helpful to see everything laid out visually by day I could go on and on about this closet organization app 7here are so

many more features available with Stylebook %ut I will part with this last doo]y Style Stats, which is e[actly as it sounds With Stylebook you will get a clear picture of your costper-wear (CPW) for every article of clothing loaded within the app <ou have to enter the price you paid for the clothing and log when you wear it Stylebook does an e[cellent Mob of not only breaking down CPW but your overall closet value, the items with the worst value and what you are underutili]ing It can be a real eyeopener Currently Stylebook is available only in the App Store (for iOS devices, like an iPhone or an iPad for now) 7he cost is 99, but worth the investment 7hroughout the week you can Ćnd me online at www thelu[estyle com or on Instagram #lu[estyles

Space Orphan– Funk from the Rockies
The Denver-based four-piece played in December at the now-closed 21stt Saloon A return was booked but after that venue closed promoters were able to land a gig at Growler, for what will be the club’s Ćrst show with a cover charge, an admittedly minor 5
By Andy Roberts
The gig comes as Space Orphan takes to the road for a weeklong Midwestern tour that will take them as far as St /ouis The band’s album, Shut About the Sun has been named a top funk album of 2 1 &omposer-keyboardist Jon Wirtz calls the group “progressive old school ”
It’s going to get a little funky out on West Maple the evening of April 2 th That when Denver’s Space Orphan returns to Omaha for an evening at Growler USA that promises to be a gig you will want to say you were there for
Wirtz had been playing and writing a lot of jazz, then took a break and started writing the type of music he fell in love with in college, like Parliament-Funkadelic and other legendary funk acts He also took a different approach in launching this new project “I wrote music, I went into the studio Ćrst thing and called these guys and recorded,” Wirtz said Then he started to play out live, just the opposite of previous

efforts Those other guys in this instrumental group are guitarist Taylor Scott, bassist Todd Edmunds, and drummer Eric Imbrosciano Wirtz knew them from playing around Denver They all work on other projects, and sometimes, but not on this Omaha trip, they are joined by a horn section Space Orphan already has played on shows with some of their funk heroes, and Wirtz said bass player Edmunds had some extensive experience in that area
music - all styles,” Wirtz said “It’s funny because two of the guys in the band absolutely hate Phish ”
After falling in love with funk and “If you hear the bass line in particular you can really hear the inćuence,” Wirtz jazz inćuences, he assembled Space Orphan of the Edmunds, who grew up in Georgia and performed with bands in front of James %rown, the Godfather of Soul “It’s kind of the best of both worlds ” In his formative years Wirtz listened to a lot of Motown and oldies That took him to blues and classic rock Then in college he was introduced to jam band legends Phish “Phish kind of opened me up to a lot of
Working with a band of musicians who play in more than one band has its challenges, he said “It’s great to kind of learn and get more inćuences,” Wirtz offered, but it can be difĆcult to schedule gigs and Ćnd
practice time &ommunications also can be a challenge when sometimes the other guys may be touring on the other side of the world “We make it work,” said Wirtz, who handles the scheduling and business aspects of the band
Expect a lot of spontaneity when Space Orphan hits the stage Growler USA may be the perfect setting for this band Wirtz said he prefers they play at what he termed “some kind of listening room ”
Having top quality, much in-demand musicians does have its pluses, though
That means: “A room where people are going there speciĆcally to hear music and have a good time ”
“I’d say the strengths are you don’t really have to explain a lot we’re all big fans of James Brown, big fans of The 0eters,” he stated The band members are fearless about bringing their own ideas to the mix
That works much better than places where music is just there for the background, he emphasized 1o surprise in that, as Wirtz and company are serious about taking this music to an ever larger audience “I intend to have us selling out Red Rocks,” Wirtz said, and Ćlling up major clubs “In 25 years maybe some of these tunes get to be played as standards I want to leave a mark ” That work starts now For more on Space Orphan: www spaceorphanmusic com For more about Growler USA: https: growlerusa com craftbeer-pubs ne-omaha-maplecreek

Well, it wasn’t pretty, but the Huskers at least managed to pull off the Easter win and avoid a complete disaster at home It wasn’t that they lacked opportunities Nebraska had the bases loaded Saturday and just couldn’t seem to drive in a run when they needed to
Don’t tell me you saw this coming
On Friday they stranded 14 runners in a 7-6,10 inning loss Timely hitting is a key in baseball and the Huskers just didn’t seem to have it this past weekend The good news is that they hadn’t dropped a series before that since losing to Michigan last year, and after winning six straight series and a tough early schedule, they shouldn’t get rattled The Huskers (21-13-1, 5-3-1 Big Ten) have a chance to bounce back against Creighton on Tuesday night before heading to Minnesota, where the league-leading Golden Gophers are off to a 7-2 start in Big Ten play
Two weeks ago the Bluejays left Lincoln after a beat down by the Cornhuskers, then hosted highly ranked St -ohn’s in the opening series of Big East play They lost in extra innings Since that loss, they took the next two from the Red Storm, beat South Dakota State in Omaha, and then swept Georgetown in Washington, D C That adds up to a six-game winning streak and Ćrst place in the Big East standings Bryce Only was 4-for-5 in the series Ćnale when Creighton (14-16, 5-1 Big East) pounded out 15 hits and rallied with 6 runs in the ninth inning for the 11-9 win Those 15 hits included two home runs, bringing CU to 18 on the season and matching the total for last season A 6:30 Tuesday game with Nebraska at TD Ameritrade is next, followed by a weekend home series with Villanova A few more wins and this could get interesting

LEAD STORY -- Try, Try Again Samuel West announced in April that his Museum of Failure will open in Helsingborg, Sweden, in June, to commemorate innovation missteps that might serve as inspiration for future successes Among the initial exhibits: coffee-infused Coca-Cola; the Bic “For Her” pen (because women’s handwriting needs are surely unique); the Twitter Peek (a 2009 device that does nothing except send and receive tweets -- and with a screen only 25 characters wide); and Harley-Davidson’s 1990s line of colognes (in retrospect as appealing, said West, as “oil and gas fumes”) (West’s is only the latest attempt to immortalize failure with a “museum ” Previous attempts, such as those in 2007 and 2014, apparently failed ) [CBC Radio, 4-6-2017] Government in Action -- Toronto, Ontario, Superior Court Justice Alex Pazaratz Ćnally ridded his
docket of the maddening, freeloading couple that had quibbled incessantly about each other’s “harassments ” Neither Noora Abdulaali, 32, nor her now-ex-husband, Kadhim Salih, 43, had worked a day in the Ćve years since they immigrated from Iraq, having almost immediately gone on disability beneĆts and begun exploiting Legal Aid Toronto in their many attempts to one-up each other with restraining orders Approving the couple’s settlement in March, Judge Pazaratz added, “The next time anyone at Legal Aid Ontario tells you they’re short of money, don’t believe it Not if they’re funding cases like this ” [Toronto Sun, 3-17-2017]
In March, Harvard Medical School technicians announced a smartphone app to give fertility-conscious men an accurate semen analysis, including sperm concentration, motility and total count -- costing probably less than 10 Included is a magniĆcation attachment and a “microćuidic” chip The insertable app magniĆes and photographs the “loaded” chip, instantly reporting the results (To answer the most frequent question: No, semen never touches your phone The device still needs Food and Drug Administration approval ) [NPR, 3-222017]

University of Chile scientists) (2) While 80 percent of Americans age 45 or older have calcium-cluttered blood veins (atherosclerosis), about 80 percent of Bolivian Tsimane huntergatherers in the Amazon have clean veins, according to an April report in The Lancet (Keys for having “the healthiest hearts in the world”: walk a lot and eat monkey, wild pig and piranha ) [New Scientist, 2-22-2017] [NPR, 3-21-2017; The Lancet, 3-172017] -- Awesome: (1) University of Basel biologists writing in the journal Science of Nature in March calculated that the global population of spiders consumes at least 400 million tons of prey yearly -- about as much, by weight, as the total of meat and Ćsh consumed by all humans (2) University of Utah researchers trained surveillance cameras on dead animals in a local desert to study scavenger behavior and were apparently astonished to witness the disappearances of two bait cows Over the course of Ćve days, according to the biologists’ recent journal article, two different badgers, working around the clock for days, had dug adjacent holes and completely buried the cows (for storage and or to keep the carcasses from competitors) [BBC News, 3-15-2017] [NPR, 4-4-2017] -- News You Can Use: A study published in the journal Endocrinology in March suggested that “whole-body” vibration may be just as effective as regular “exercise ” (The Fine Print: Vibration was shown only to aid “global bone formation,” which is not as useful for some people as “weight loss,” which was not studied, and anyway, the study was conducted on mice Nonetheless, even for a mouse immobile on a vibrating machine, muscles contracted and relaxed multiple times per second This “Fine Print” will soon be useful when hucksters learn of the study and try to sell gullible humans a “miracle” weight-loss machine ) [Endocrinology, 3-15-2017] The Aristocrats!
