Lonesome Bert and the Skinny Lizards Remedy Tree Aslyn and the Naysayers The Gabe Valla Band Brett Bass and Melted Plectrum Lonesome Bert & the Skinny Lizards Since their St. Augustine debut in 2005, Lonesome Bert & the Skinny Lizards has become an Old City staple. Now they are popping up all over Saint Augustine and as far south as the Florida Keys. One of the reasons they’ve become so popular is their commitment to the audience. “We play full-tilt boogie no matter how many people are listening,” Hodge said. “It’s the audience that keeps me playing,” pandeiro player, Steve Mitherz, agreed. Remedy Tree Remedy Tree is a progressive acoustic music band from St Augustine FL. Their lyric-driven energy filled songs fill their melodious harmonies with a renewed sense of drive as they intertwine roots Americana music, bluegrass, and old-time music. Aslyn and the Naysayers Aslyn & the Naysayers have been playing music together in St. Augustine since 2006. Our individual influences are diverse, and that accounts for the wide and eclectic range of music we like to play. We have performed at the Florida Folk Festival, Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, Creekside Festival, as well as numerous other festivals, events, gatherings, and weddings. We think of St. Augustine as home, and of each other as family. The Gabe Valla Band Gabe is a sought after performer, session musician and producer and will be joined by the very talented Lis Williamson, Lon Williamson, as well as Scott Anderson on banjo! This group is not to be missed! From the time he was a teenager, Gabe was a “known quantity” in the bluegrass world having won contests such as the Merlefest Flatpick Guitar Championship (1995) and through his showcases and performances at festivals across the south. Gabe is an astute songwriter and flatpick guitarist who’s laid back demeanor underlies the elegant, melodic virtuosity that is a trademark of his playing.
