Level 5, Term 2, Year 2023-24
Project Duration: 14 weeks
Kawran Bazar is hoping to form as a Modern Business Hub in upcoming years whereas it was previously occupied with kitchen markets & wholesale markets which are going to be relocated at the edge of the city as per DNCC’s future master plan. Being an important node of Dhaka, Kawran Bazar is also seeming to face several transformations in terms of transportation. A Business Hub of 21st century demands to perform not necessarily as a daytime work space only, it can be an inclusive park of urban city life. The Business Hub can be re-introduced as a City Square, center for youth software enthusiast, freelancers as well as startup communities. It can also be imagined as a gathering place for youth & local people discussing contemporary issues. The project is hoping to seamlessly blend the site's past heritage with contemporary & futuristic architectural elements.

A new revised national education curriculum for primary, secondary and higher secondary educational institutions has been launched in 2023 that aims to bring qualitative changes in the conventional education system. Focus has been shifted to lessening dependency on textbooks and memorization. The revised curriculum also aims to bring scopes for students to be involved with various sports and participate in innovative, creative extracurricular activities for their proper intellectual, mental and physical growth. Major shifts are also happening worldwide in terms of education models, learning experiences and technological adaptability in school designs. With the school curriculum and teaching methodologies evolving rapidly, and technologies constantly changing the way students learn, it is vital to rethink our learning environments.
Rethinking Urban Waterfront: Addressing the Dynamic Transformation for Sustainable Riverfront at Mawa, Munshiganj
Project Duration: 7 weeks ( Group Project )
The Mawa riverfront o ers tremendous development opportunities, but these need to be critically assessed and explored to bring transformative changes in the lives of the local people. Sustainable urban design strategies for the area need to be addressd with the environmental and ecological concerns. The dynamic pro le of the Padma riverfront and its ever-shifting land pro le add more complexity in determining appropriate landuse on the riverside that can mitigate any environmental consequences. The objective of the project was to identify existing variabilities, prepare urban design framework for the waterfront & propose speci c urban design solutions.
PUBLIC SPACE FOR URBAN TRANSIT: Inclusion of TOD for Designing Transfer Points
Level 4, Term 1, Year 2022
Project Duration: 7 weeks ( Group Projects )
This project aimed to explore context-specific, integrated urban design solutions for transfer points (outlets) of MRT Stations so that these can be an inter-connected part of complex urban systems like Dhaka to work as an efficient whole. The design challenge was how the transfer points of station on streets would effectively disperse traffic, allocate the necessary facilities like parking, interact with the existing landuse, and develop public spaces to utilize the social and economic potentials of the new flow of pedestrian traffic. The functional and physical integration of these transfer points with the adjoining urban fabric, thus, required great attention.
Level 3, Term 1, Year 2021
Project Duration: 7 weeks ( Group Projects )
A sports arena denotes an enclosure or a platform that holds an uninterrupted space for executing sports that are surrounded by seating spaces for spectators. Both the formal appearance and spatial quality of this architecture have equal significance in enhancing the internal ambiance Its specialty lies in designing a canopy that covers, accommodates and holds multiple functions beneath. At the same time, special attention was given in creating a maximum canopy coverage with minimum supports. This project emphasizes understanding structural logic and perception through design. The objective of the project was to study the principles of modular structure and its significance to achieve large spans
